i dont have a problem with his system- all systems are over rated. hockey is an effort sport. lindy is a dinosaur in today's game and he can no longer connect with or motivate today's athlete.

pommer, hecht, ellis are his guys because they are old school and completely buy in. the kids roll their eyes.

they play afraid to make a mistake because when they do- hecht and ellis get their ice time.

Ruff doesn't stick up for players that matter on this team. Myers has been struggling and taking a ton of heat in the media. What Ruff should do is come out and flat out say "he's played fine, he's not getting benched" but he refuses, just keeps all the onus on his players and none on himself
