i was thinkin today about playin max talbot a little bit more, his ice time is always low and its not like he cant score, def has some upside and would like to see him shoot more - Flyers4Life88
I don't disagree ... seems like his overall ice time is down a little bit this year. |

I'm not really looking for goal production from Talbot. Last season he actually scored more than I would have ever expected. Talbot is at his best on the defensive side of the puck and getting under the opponents skin. Any production from Talbot I consider a bonus. - Pixote Andolini

I was a big proponent of Sestito most of the year ... but the guy was so invisible last game I've changed my mind.
I'd rather see McGinn and Rinaldo in there on most nights, and let Sestito and Shelley see the odd game against Boston. |

Hartnell was once VERY reckless, has only started to come into form in recent years. Its SIMMONDS who lacks finesse, doesnt have a great shot either.. Briere doesnt have alot of history playing on his off-wing. And its not about being the same type players, its about chemistry. That line will be Briere and Giroux with Simmonds swinging like Tiger Woods in front of the net - Trainfellow
And how do you know that line won't have chemistry? Simmonds and Hartnell are very similar players. Simmonds scored 28 goals last year. He's very good on the forecheck, in puck battles, and around the net. He doesn't need to have fineese. Simmonds going to the net creating room for Giroux and Briere is exactly what you want. I would give a line a chance and see how much chemistry it has or can develop. |

yeah but Mcginn doesnt seem to be looking for a fight, where as tommygun mission 1. Drop Gloves Mission 2. hit someone 3 seconds after they get rid of the puck 3. talk ish to brad richards 4. get a game misconduct |

I don't want any players looking for a fight ... let the fights happen naturally as a by-product of good, hard play. |

Not saying it wont, but I personally think Simmonds is overrated and shouldnt be playing on the top line.. Yes he plays a similar game as Hartnell (front of net, physical in your face type) but has nothing for a shot and Hartnell can snipe when given the chance. Simmonds tries too often to force the puck and just ends up turning it over, which is why he shouldnt be on the top line |

It is why I like Rindaldo. If the whole team is doing nothing, he will still go in there and light somebody up. That being said, his aggressive nature often gets him in trouble with the mods/refs. Still, I'll take the good with the bad.

Simmonds can't even make space for himself, which is why he scores when the puck goes off his face or accidentially deflects off of him. You dont see Boyle on a line with Nash and Gaborik. Simmonds had a good year last year, and yeah time will tell if this line will build chemistry |
