I think the NHL really wants to wait for expansion, to keep more cities open to getting a new team, before moving the Coyotes.
If they move the 'Yotes to Seattle, there goes expansion fees. |

We'll have a GM good enough to be the pro and amateur scouts as well.
And I wouldn't mind Boychuk being claimed by the Flyers. Worse comes to worst, you just keep him in Adirondack. They need depth. |

With as thin as we are on prsopects claiming him wouldn't have hurt. Kid has upside.
I personally guarantee he will turn into a 2nd line center for the Pens, and a consistent 60P guy. Watch |

They aren't going to allow that team to move to Quebec or Markham. The expansion fees in those cities would be ridiculous. If they add two teams there they'll be in the east. They aren't going to want to move another team east so I'd think KC or Seattle. |

Yes. They could have claimed him, but it would be the last slot. |

If he was still a prospect(i.e. on his ELC) fine. But he's not. He can't go to the Phantoms without clearing waivers. Sure, he has upside, but he's been unproductive in the NHL thus far and it's been 5 years since he was drafted. |

He's a former first round pick(2008) by Carolina. 7 goals in 73 NHL games. |

It would probably look better on the league if they fixed the problem first, and then found 2 more cities to expand to. |

Prospect. Good numbers everywhere except the NHL (73 games, 18 points). He has 146 points in 178 AHL games and 271 points in 237 WHL games. |

Ah so that's probably why they passed. If he could go to the Phantoms, I would not have been shocked to see him claimed by us. |
