He has great playmaking ability, a great shot, great skating, and is great defensively. He needs to be given a good stretch as top-6 center with good wingers.

I say trade Plekanec at the deadline for a 1st and a long-term prospect and give Eller the 2C job. When Galchenyuk gets promoted to top-6 center, the Habs have the choice to either put Eller back on the third line or trade either him or Desharnais.
