were getting closer to drafting seth jones with each passing game, im fine with it, i just hope we dont get screwed in the lottery like when we should have had kane.

If the Flyers get the top pick, I think they take MacKinnon.

The entire team needs to find an extra gear. Washington did and was the desperate team in the 3rd period. There are a number of players that they aren't getting enough from. And the blueline as a whole was poor tonight.
- MJL

how about they just put the (frank)ing car into "drive" and take it out of "neutral", let alone find an extra gear?

A coaching change will most likely be the first domino to fall. And as soon as Sunday if there is another loss tomorrow.

I like Laviolette, but he's made some curious moves to say the least. How is McGinn a healthy scratch in NY, and on the ice in the last minute of a must win game? Those two things don't really jive.

- PLindbergh31

If there is anything, I see that happening too.

Unfortunate because when this team is healthy I really dont see them as a transition team to begin with. Which I think is what Murray will bring in.

They dont have the D to to help create offense, and most of the forwards aren't suited to that kind of quick transition game.

Lava was handed this squad. Hartnell is out along with Mez. He would be a miracle worker with this group imo. The lack of effort is concerning however. Part of that does fall on him.

It does jive. Coaches go with the players that are playing the hardest. Chances are with the Goalie pulled, your going to have to win some puck battles. Can't score if you don't have the puck.

That's going to be hard to change b/c the Flyers are struggling in multiple areas

from the playoffs of last year, but even less interesting. and the key players are dropping like flyers. first hartnell, then meszaros. now simmonds. it's a (frank)ing poop show that never (frank)ing ends.
- hammarby31

Don't even waste people's time dressing Shelley or Sestito tomorrow. All that does is take ice time away from guys who in theory can put the puck in the net.

Erskine is a (frank)ing bumhole, cheap ass elbow. Simmonds got it right on the button and then smacked his head on the ice. Probably a broken nose and concussion.

The Flyers usually keep the 1st rounders and trade the 2nd rounders
- Jsaquella

Riiight. Got the picks missed up. My bad
Tank next year as well, draft Aaron Ekblad

Yeah sure. It makes all the sense in the world to sit McGinn for Sestito in NY.

that's exactly what he'll have, and they did absolutely (frank)all about it the rest of the game. i know they need the points, and should focus on that, but the rinaldo fight didn't do much to spark the team. they ignored erskine and still found a way to lose the game. disgrace.

Considering they were all in to get Parise and Suter, pretty obvious they wanted to make major changes to the roster. This start only would validate there concerns about the roster. Hence, I think major changes are coming.

It is dumb, he will probably get suspended a few games but that doesn't help the flyers at all. Should have been a major penalty which could have changed the outcome.

Best draft since 2003.
Ive kept on saying this for awhile now, and I stand by it: 10/30 of the 1st rounders will be in the NHl for the entire season, 15-18/30 will get Atleast 1 NHL game
I know it's crazy, but I truly believe that. it's such a great draft
Not a draft to be trading your picks

NJ will forfeit their pick likely due to the fact that they host the draft in 2014 (or is it 2015?). NYR traded theirs to CB. I have a sit that shows all the draft pick transactions, but I will be very pissed of Homer trades our 1st pick this year. Idc if Perry or Ryan is coming the other way, keep that pick. Unless a Doughty/Weber/Pietrangelo (none of this will ever happen) is coming back, don't trade it.

It simply has to change. Flyers get the first goal, and then it's time to seize the game. They don't. Flyers kill off a 5-3, and it's then the Caps that respond and raise their effort.

Center from the QMJHL. Was top propsect at start of the season. Still a coin flip as to whether he or Jones is the best prospect in draft.

It's an average team as presently constructed. Have to allow some margin of error for all the youth, but you throw in the injuries and it's a below average roster. You are what your record says you are. Right now it's a bad team.

flyers probably would have blown the pp and the caps would have scored right after to completely deflate them. theoretically speaking of course.
