What does anyone think you're going to get in a trade at this point? Teams aren't going to give up their good players right now. It's too early. But they certainly will be willing to take your good players on the cheap, and try to take advantage of a desperate GM. Unplug the phones Homer!
- MJL

It's to early to make any moves IMO. This is the team that Homer put together so lets see what they do.

They were just out worked by one of the worst teams in the league who played last night.
- psuhockey

At times they were outworked yes, other times they outworked the Caps. No sugar coating it, it's a bad loss. Playing two forwards short for 2+ periods didn't help.

Maybe call up Wellwood would be a start? Don't know why he was sent down
- TPC

yeah, that's definitely one move. They could also sit Fedotenko and Knuble without missing anything.

When you say deeper, what do you mean?

Do you not recall the season to never remember, ever? There was some pretty darn good kids on that team and they struggled to score games at a time.

- ggunky

I dunno.. culture wise or something.. think we need to be tougher on these guys..

I remember that year. That team played better then this imo

That is my concern, that they don't.
- ggunky

Here's what I don't want to see:

Young player with potential traded for 32 year old guy who will be gone in 2 years.

A trade to shake things up for the sake of change.

Draft picks traded out.

I'm ambivalent on the fate of the coach. I don't blame him or absolve him. My list of untouchables is shorter than a midget's Richard. If you can trade Brayden Schenn for Bobby Ryan, fine. I'm onboard. Ryan's 25 and a good established player. It's a not trading a kid for Patrick Elias

I don't think anyone's job is safe right now. Including Holmgren. Snider won't sit back and watch much more of this.

wouldn't surprise me if Jake was traded in the next couple of days ... for a somewhat comparable player.

Its funny to see people suggest trading Read, he's the Flyers best player right now, if I'm trading anyone its Brayden Schenn

Voracek would go before Schenn, imo.

I have some doubts about Schenn but ill keep them to myself. Just not sold on the kid.

They did at times. But the Flyers started slow. When they should have come out looking to jump on a team that played last night. But they let the Caps get right into the flow of the game. And they failed to seize momentum both after the first goal scored, and after the 5-3 kill. And it was the Caps who elevated their play and took the game. Who stepped up tonight to lead the way for the Flyers? Who is the catalyst for this team right now? Other then the Goalie who is holding them in games.

No doubt being down two forwards hurt, but the Caps dominated the third. This team has no confidence thought the lineup in themselves or in the coach. A young team needs a structured system not more jam. It's sucks it's a short season and a new coach won't have time to make a difference. But on the bright side, the draft is only 5 months away and stacked wit talent.

He is just very sloppy this year, every time he has the puck he loses it in a matter of seconds.

No to mention that Read has a cap friendly contract. Read is one of the best players on the team.

I saw that Gervais scored tonight for you guys. How has he been playing? I was watching the final minutes of the game tonight. Im just curious how he looks...he was a diaster on the Islanders a few years back.

I'm not sold on anyone. Schenn has a lot of potential. So did Chris Gratton.

What about Perry? You know they would resign him especially with 2 buyouts still available to them.

Exactly. Give me a proven player around 24-26 years old and I would have no problems moving him.

I still think its early to make a move though.
