Giroux is number one on my list right now of disappointments. - MJL
I wouldn't be surprised if he's hiding an injury. He had the neck issue in Germany. Who knows. He doesn't have an elite player on his wing like all the world class centers in the NHL. Technically Crosby doesn't but he plays with Malkin and Neal a fair amount.

I don't know, but I'm going to assume he is healthy until I hear otherwise.
Only way I'd be open to getting Perry, is if they buy out Briere. The Flyers cannot hamstrung themselves on the Cap. They need a top defenseman. - MJL
I think that is certainly a possibility. Who on the roster right now would be G's wingman long-term a la Lindros-LeClair? Hartnell is the dirty work guy on the line, but I don't see anyone with the sniper ability on the roster right now. Perry would fit that need, and getting rid of Briere's contract as season end does make sense.
Dirty hit by Erskine, amazed the linesman didn't say anything.
Any word as to how long he'll be out? - nhindian
None yet. He apparently passed the initial baseline and IMPACT testing, was said to have whiplash type injuries....still, if he wakes up and has symptoms tomorrow, it'll be a week to ten days
Backes is on my fantasy so I don't mind the 12 PIMS along with the power play assist, 5 shots and 4 hits. He's my jack of all trades - GirouxForTheShow

in hindsight, trading couts+schenn would have been the answer - mydoglicks
Yeap and you would have JVR....Not sold on Couts or Schenn....Couts has no offensive game whatsover tired of hearing how defensively sound he is he was what the 8th pick in draft you can get those guys in the later rounds. Brayden Schenn should be developed by now or at least further along than he is, he looks lost out there. There is a reason LA was willing to part with him imo.
