You should talk about class.

You're losing 7-4, and Julien salad puts out an AHL heavyweight with 9 seconds left???? What's MacDermid going to do, score a goal to bring you to within two??? No. Your classy coach put him out there for one thing, and Ruff answered the challenge. I can't help it if Julien was still being outcoached with only 9 seconds left.

MacDermid looked like he saw a ghost when Scott hopped over the boards.

Get over yourself, you Bruin crybaby.

I think you and I both know Claude Julien is a far better coach than Ruff. Julien has yet to miss the postseason in 5 years and brought home a cup. Julien is a very classy coach, he doesn't whine to the media or make scenes when things aren't going the Bruins way. You can call me a homer but I think Claude is in the top 5 coaches in the league.

Perhaps Fudd but Julien has last change being the home team and he knew who was on the ice for us. Bruin fan and the players should not have been surprised Lindy called a timeout.

Do you agree? Kind of a lame move by Julien trying to line Macdermid up against Pommers after the empty netter really. Lindy did the right thing calling a timeout.

I am starting to like the idea of putting him with Weber...

Weber doesn't join the rush and is a "stay at home d-man" by nature... Sekera is known to join the rush and get down in the zone instead of staying high.

I miss the days of seeing Myers come down to the inside of the face off circle or knocking in rebound attempts..

- JVince11

I actually never considered that...
But I kinda like the idea
Sekera and Weber have always seemed to have good chemistry when paired,
But at this point I'm willing to try anything to get Myers going

I am not doubting that Brennan is a talent.. but if I have to chose between them... and look at what Buffalo needs in their back end right now...

I take McNabbevery day and twice on Sundays.

- JVince11

McNabb needs to be up here sooner than later,
But I'm cool w giving Brennan a shot...
He's earned it
Or trade him... Whatever...
But sitting him in the press box is dumb

Boston can't handle losing. Or playing a clean game.

The timeout didn't bother me at all. I would do the same thing if I were in Ruff's position, why risk a potential skirmish. In all honesty, if the puck had dropped I don't think anything would have happened. Julien doesn't coach that way, he took the lose and pointed out that they got flat out beat in all zones. We could all argue back and forth about the motive behind it till we're blue in the face, but none of us truly know. From my personal standpoint, I didn't read too much into it and thought it was about keeping his skilled guys off. It also could have been to force Lindy's hand into calling a timeout, maybe rattle him back a little bit.

I have no problem with the loss last night, I was giving full credit to a bunch of posters last night in Garth's blog. The Sabres came in and played a very good road game. They took advantage of numerous Bruin mistakes, I can assure you that the next game wont be as lopsided. We're in for one hell of a season series.

Julien knew exactly what he was doing. You don't need to bring up how much better you think he is than Ruff. Hockey coaches are super pissy individuals and when you let up 7 goals like Julien's team team you're going to be extremely frustrated. It was fine by Julien to put Macdermid out there and just as fine for Ruff to TO and get our bigger guys out there. This was blown out of porportion by idiots who don't understand the game.

my biggest criticism of weber is he isnt mustard
or
shea

- hubie

Hahaha
If we somehow got Shea Weber...
Weber's Mustard could have a great commercial with the two of them going back n forth w what they put mustard on...
Hot dog, burger, pretzel, sandwich, etc

I'm kinda surprised they don't already do that w Mike Weber, but then again I'm not sure I've ever seen them advertise either

I tend to agree with you
This really should be a non-issue from both points of view

Actually, I was wondering why he left our skill guys out there after the emptynetter?
The 4th line should've gone right out after that
And not just bc of a possible skirmish,
The game was over... Why risk a crazy injury like a groin pull or someone taking a shot off the foot, etc?
Lindy seems constantly unaware of stuff like this to me
I'm glad he made notice and sent out Scott, etc...
But He shouldn't have needed to take a timeout to make that decision

I found that odd too. In most situations a coach would throw his 4th line out with 13 seconds left in a blowout. In any event, I think this whole thing is a non issue. Unfortunately with todays media, stories like this garner much of the attention. I can only imagine the story lines that will pop up next week leading into the rematch.

You know what grinds my gears....the fact that in Boston, in the arean, they are auctioning a off a picture of Lucic blasting Miller that Lucic signed....I think that's pretty classless.

Thank you.

Being from Boston, many of the fans enjoy that ruff and tuff style of play so the media/marketing buy into that. If you listen to a lot of radio in Boston a lot of callers call in saying they want the beatdowns and physical game. I for one could care less about that aspect of Bruins hockey. It is very irritating to be grouped into the stereotype that all New Englanders like the goonery and cheap stuff. Unfortunately the local media thrives off of the big bad bruins mentality.
