Being from Boston, many of the fans enjoy that ruff and tuff style of play so the media/marketing buy into that. If you listen to a lot of radio in Boston a lot of callers call in saying they want the beatdowns and physical game. I for one could care less about that aspect of Bruins hockey. It is very irritating to be grouped into the stereotype that all New Englanders like the goonery and cheap stuff. Unfortunately the local media thrives off of the big bad bruins mentality.

You know what grinds my gears....the fact that in Boston, in the arean, they are auctioning a off a picture of Lucic blasting Miller that Lucic signed....I think that's pretty classless.

Yeah I think it's in poor taste, but it's about making money so they do it. I think that issue should be squashed. I think that the whole Miller thing was settled last year when Gaustad fought Lucic, but thats me talking from a Boston perspective. I don't see a Lucic/Scott fight happening considering the hit was last season.

Agreed. I think it's also petty to fight last years regular season battles.

On the other hand, if we had each other a bit more with each game, then that's probably a good thing.

Did you see the look on MacDermid's face when Scott jumped over the boards with a few seconds left after the timeout He honestly looked terrified. Funny that Julien says nothing was gonna happen there; then why the hell did he put out Campbell, McQuaid and MacDermid with no time left against Vanek and Pommer? I thought it was great coaching by Lindy to call the timeout there.
