funny to see how tough you think you guys are considering you got a goon who plays ~3 minutes a game and gets roughly double that in PIMs, and the nice cheap shots you laid out too. not to mention that your coach called a time out with 15 seconds left because the big bad bruins put a rookie out on the ice at the end of a game...how dare they! we'll see how the next game goes, i'm guessing it'll be a bit more edgy. stay classy buffalo!

What I really like about the whole thing is that it got under Marchand's skin.

I just didn't understand what the big deal was about it really. They put the McDermid kid out there. Lindy was just making sure one of his wingers didn't get lured into a fight.

I don't even think he was worried about a fight moreso than any sort of hit, cheap shot, or anything physical whatsoever. Nothing good can come out of Pominville, Vanek, etc. being on the ice with McDermid (spelling?) with 16 seconds left on a 3 goal game.

As far as Marchand is concerned, everybody knows the guy has an IQ of about 40 on his best day. Getting him upset isn't really an accomplishment. The notion that Julien wouldn't do the same thing if the tables were reversed is pretty damn funny.

seriously this game could have went either way, buffalo won and boston needs to stop being all pissy about it. thornton and scott both agreed to fight and its a shame that thornton got injured because of it but thats life. macdermed got less ice time than john scott. the fact that boston thinks its classless that we dont want their call up goon out on the ice with our star players in the final 15 seconds of a blowout is beyond me.

for marchand to even speak after all his slew footin, knee targeting and elbows is just beyond my understanding. hey marchand remember a year ago when you were yelling ,classlessy, from the bench at leino. just stop.

You're losing 7-4, and Julien salad puts out an AHL heavyweight with 9 seconds left???? What's MacDermid going to do, score a goal to bring you to within two??? No. Your classy coach put him out there for one thing, and Ruff answered the challenge. I can't help it if Julien was still being outcoached with only 9 seconds left.

MacDermid looked like he saw a ghost when Scott hopped over the boards.

What evryone is missing is that Julien knew exactly hoe Ruff would respond and that is why he put the "kid Goon" out there. he wanted Ruff to put Scott out there and then make sure a big deal is made. Julien is a smart coach and he wanted to make his team is set up for next game by creating a diversion. Did anyone notice how Scott was talking to the Ref just before faceoff and then backed off the "kid Goon" before the puck was dropped....because Ruff told him don't do anything unless they start it... Ruff loked pretty smart
