You keep repeatedly stating that this is all about not having a #1 defenseman. And it is certainly true, that they need that player. But it is far from the only issue with this team right now. And you keep intimating that getting that player will miraculously change how the team is playing. That simply is not the case. This team has the players as it is currently constituted to be much better then they're currently playing.
Tell me what top defenseman you think might be available to the Flyers in a trade right now? - MJL
Agreed ... many flyers are failing to play to the best of their abilities. I think the team dynamic is also an important factor in explaining the poor start and the team chemistry is nonexistent. The entire team is lacking cohesion and the transition game is absolutely horrible. Unsuccessful zone entries with possession(Jagr was awesome), too many failed dump and chase attempts, D zone breakouts and neutral zone play is so bad i'm in disbelief.
SHOOT THE PUCK GIROUX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr Optimism is suggesting we get Iginla. Says he will only cost a Laughton package. Wtf?
Iginla will be a UFA, if we want him this summer he'll be free. Iginla won't solve the problems alone. Hartnell-Giroux-Iginla would be cool for a few seasons, but never should we deal for him in a shortened season. No guarantee he would re-sign, and it costs us Laughton +? Geez... - Rocktane
I wouldn't want a short term solution anyway, and that's all Iginla would be. Trading away future for a short term fix is never a good idea, unless the fix is a piece to get you thiscose to the cup. |

You have two options:
1) take my 2 year old son as well, and I'll pay for all three of you to go (plus parking, one hot dog each, and a juice/beer)
2) call the team. If memory serves, certain Philly teams allow for this (Phillies?) and certain teams don't (I think Flyers).
Either way, let me say that I hope that you and potentially your family enjoy the game.
Cheers! |

Being the resident HB's most intelligent poster, let's just say I am going off a gut feeling. IMO he looked more angry than dazed, and his nose blew up like a ballloon.
We'll see.
I will also help you define "whatever":
1) Stacey Kiebler
2) 6 pack of a nice beer
3) S.C. Champions riding down Broad Street |

She's dating that idiot Clooney. And she truly must be a f'ing idiot for picking that loser over me - she must be fixated on things like looks, fame, and money. |

I didn't know who you were referring to, until I read the other blog. What an awful suggestion by the other blogger.

Yah at no point does a 35 year old Iginla make sense to me on this team. |

Not to mention that if Iginla is going to be made available. A lot of teams that think they're a player away are going to be involved, driving up the price. Calgary is going to get a lot more for him then just a prospect like Laughton. Not very well thought out.

You know when it makes sense? If Calgary trades him for Pronger and Shelley. That's when it makes any kind of sense. Until that happens, it'd be dumb. |

Its probably already been discussed. And I understand the sophomore slump. But I am especially disappointed in Couturier and Schenn because they should be in mid season form having played in the AHL. Same goes for Voracek, and many others.
I find it remarkable that this team STILL has trouble coming out of the gate with full energy. It seems to be an ongoing problem for YEARS now.

From the Flyers website under tickets/seating:
Seating for Children
Children under two do not require a ticket for most events but will be required to sit on the lap of a paying customer. |

I traded Rinaldo for Iggy in NHL13.
Would have loved to have grabbed him in a trade a few years back but hes too old now. Plus the idiot Feaster is will probably offer him 7mil. |

And he wasn't stolen by the nefarious city wide roaming gypsy, tramps and thieves and raised to become Walmart stock boy?
Whew. You dodged a bullet there. |
