How to solve the Sabres problem?

1) Fire Lindy Ruff and the sooner the better....
2) Trade Tyler Meyers immediately while other teams still believe he is a good defenseman.
3) Kick Jochen Hecht off this team.....
4) Ditch Cody McCormack.....
5) Throw Drew Stafford into the trash bin......
6) Give Matt Ellis the boot..............PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do those of you who aren't bitter Sabre fans keep from being so? I've come to realize that this team has made me a miserable, bitter SOB as a sports fan. The only other team that I love as much as the Sabres is the Yankees, and it's never bad to be a Yankee fan no matter what A-Roid does, so I'm a haappy camper when I watch baseball.

Over the past 3 seasons I've come to the point where I actually root for them to be embarrassed like they were yesterday by the Habs. I actually want them to lose every game until Lindy Ruff is fired. I physically hate the man, and I'm sure (other than as a hockey coach) he is a fine and reputable person. To me, he has brought this franchise to become the laughing stock of the NHL, and I will always hate him for that. Further, he has turned me into someone who hates his own favorite team. It's not that I'm a fair-weather fan either. I loved going to games when the Sabres sucked in the pre-Lafontaine era and in the immediate post-Hasek era, but now I won't set foot in the FNC.

What to do??

Hang in there, I truly believe Pegula will make right with this organization. We have had to put up with the Bills for 14 years and lately the Sab's. it's frustrating to watch Darcy & Lindy continue to get extensions for mediocre!

Jury is still out on Ted Black? Yes man #1
Darcy is yes man #2

We need a true hockey man in here to be a fresh set of eyes!

We all feel the same as you LA........ I think the memories of the Sabres of the past keep me going. I can remember the teams of the 70's and part of the 80's.... I too dislike Lindy Ruff and his whole stinking system, which does not work. I just keep watching and hoping that it changes..... I was actually rooting for the Bruins and Habs because I want Lindy fired in the worst way.....

Irish, I hope you are right about Pegula but I fear he is too much of a FAN to make any owner like decisions........ That would be a bad thing...........

it's tough

my 3 teams in sports are the sabres, bills and jays

the bills had so much success when I was growing up and it is hard for me to switch teams.
I can still sneak down south the see the jays in spring training and once in a while catch them in tampa

the sabres, it's difficult to keep me from switching to a full time tampa fan right now. I watched them almost lose the team, post Hasek era. I saw Ruff destroy Mika, and allow Biron to be a scape goat, when it was not his fault.

The kicker was when Briere and Drury left, Darcy promised we would be back in 5 years, and I see nothing like a team that is ready to be back. He has had almost 2 years now to do what he wants. I think the drafting has been great. Aside from the Coho trade, it's been blah.
Of all the Sabres we have acquired from free agency/trade since Peggy took over, is Sulzer the second best?

Then of Ruff, when Scott is on the ice in the third period down 4 goals, he has given up on the game. I am not a fan of that. At this point, I would like to see them try Scott out as a D man. At least he would clear the front of the net. The second and third lines have no chemistry whatsoever and it's not just adjusting to Ott and the Gringo.

The 6 d men we play are designed for the team we had that made the back to back ECF's, not the ones needed for Ruff's current coaching style.

It's kinda like the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.

I don't what to tell ya.....I'm frustrated too but I watched the whole game yesterday just to laugh at them. I guess if we've become the laughing stock....join in
I feel like at this point if it's bad it might as well be the worst because I feel like that is the only thing that will fascilitate some desperately needed change with this team

Lindy has to realize he does not have Dom in net, and try to make this team win games 5-4

That is the team we have, yet he tries to win games 2-1

Kinda puts things in perspective if (Sulzer) a trade throw in is his second best acquired player

The BuffaloHatRack just can't keep his lips off the keyboard Ray.

I've been on here 6 or 7 years (longer than my avatar shows due a HB issue) and the only guy in his category is the venerable 'Toddkac'.

Last night was some priceless reading! Everything was there except "Meet me by the bike rack behind the school and we'll fight".

Epic..

Precisely.
