My wife's cousin loves that stuff. A little too sweet, IMO. Had some nice Hennepin yesterday.

If I could land Alex Pietrangelo for Couturier, my lone question would be do they want me to pay for his plane ticket to St Louis.

i honestly would love to see Iginla here. He is a veteran power forward who can put the puck in the net and would really help G on the top line. However I understand the salary cap restraints and honestly Calgary gonna hold on to him til trade deadline when he is in higher demand. He is also the face of that franchise and people fill that building to watch him play so I still think they will be hesitant to let him go. My prediction is he gets dealt at deadline just not to the Flyers.

The Flyers should just offersheet OEL next summer. True they would probably match, but how happy would the other rich owners be that they would have to pay more just to keep a player off the Flyers. Match and pay millions more or just let the Flyers foot the bill entirely. I bet some owners would say don't match. If anything it gives Bettman a huge headache.

My money is that he is re-signed by Phoenix before then, but we'll see.

I find it funny that Ovis play has declined ever since the accusation that Balco( or someone of that ilk) was sending PEDs to the Caps looker room

Phoenix has some money to play with.

Are they moving the franchise?

I feel he needs a change of scenery. Send him to another team and tell him "hulk, go smash"

Cousins isn't a defenseman, but he's looking great
- Jsaquella

Sorry I missed you were talking about dman, Cousins is a playmaking center.

Nope, but it's simple logic.

Say there's a guy with a ton of talent, but a lousy work ethic. It's easy to project that he'll have a rough time making his great potential into being a great player.

Just kidding, HF is famous for potential versus whether they have what it takes. I respect your hockey knowledge

I can't believe they just disallowed that Ottawa goal. Price went outside the paint and barely got touched.

I would agree G and Coots are almost untouchable in trade talks, but Matt Read is really a glue guy I would put just under those two. The guy is just way under appreciated and I would hope if they do move pieces, he is the one who stays.

27 goals in 88 career games (hasn't played a lot on the top line), kills penalties, powerplay, and really good speed. He certainly makes the potential loss of B. Schenn or Voracek easier if they are moved to improve the blueline.

If Im looking to make a significant move right now those 3 are my untoucables. Briere aside no one else can snipe like Read. B Schenn and Jake would be my blue chips.

That said, aside from selling Kimmo at the deadline(if we suck) Im not looking to make a big deal til the draft, if at all.

Because they played well as a team. What's preventing the Flyers from doing that? Right now, it's poor execution and stupid mistakes. If the Flyers can avoid that stuff, they'd be performing much better.

A couple of years down the road... I hear nothing but good things about Shayne Gostisbehere. Skilled, dynamic with great hockey sense. And humble too, he says that at 170 lbs he'd get killed in the NHL. Every once in a while you see a great talent that transcends a so called limitation. He's going to get bigger naturally and he appears to be the kind of player we'll see on the team sooner rather than later. Mark Howe was not a big man yet he's the Flyers best defenseman ever. I'm anxious for the Ghost.

Gostisbehere is a legit NHL prospect, but I'd be conservative with the expectations. He currently projects more like an Erik Gustafsson type than Kimmo Timonen at this point of his development. But he's still on the upswing in the development of his game.
