I mean, it's a team sport. If they are JUST getting that now, no wonder why they sucked for the last 15 years! |

best is when they ask about playing "(insert team name) hockey"
some reporter asked bryz if the win against the rags was a true example of "Flyers hockey"
he just said: ok i dont know what it is this "flyers hockey" |

Blake Geoffrion Alex Galchenyuk, Nathan Beaulieu, Louis Leblanc, Jarred Tinordi, Sebastian Collberg, Brendan Gallagher ,Danny Kristo, Patrick Holland. Dalton Thrower. Tim Bozon. Charles Hudon etc...
2013
1st round pick - Montréal
2nd round pick - Montréal
2nd round pick - Montréal (from Calgary - Cammalleri trade)
2nd round pick - Montréal (from Nashville - Kostitsyn trade)
3rd round pick - Montréal
4th round pick - NY Islanders (from Montréal - Wisniewski trade)
5th round pick - Montréal
6th round pick - Montréal
7th round pick - Montréal
so including the graduated ones in bold and the extra draft picks at 2nd i think its not a stretch to say we wouldnt be throwing away our future if we got Jagr for a 2nd for a playoff run (still have to make it there)
seems like a pretty good set of prospects and rookies imo |

yeah i can agree there's no need to waste and there's no pressure to do so either, but i think we've got like 3 2nd round picks....
if they gave up a 2nd for Jagr and he put up points in the playoffs (and i'm sure he would) and helped us win a few series i'm sure it would be worth it
its not to force the issue but the Habs are pretty stacked with prospects and picks lol
as for Jagr and his character i dont think thats a fair assessment of 41 year old Jagr...sounds like 10 years ago, its like the ppl who still think Kovalchuk is still the non-defensively responsible and purely offensive player from 7 years ago - Habitants98
His character maybe better now but that doesn't make him the type of player Bergy would want.
Also the only reason to trade for him would be if 1 of the top 6 forwards is hurt for an extended period of time. if that happens we are not likely to be a playoff team. Hence no need to trade for Jagr.
And I would rather see where we end up and use those three 2nd rounders to move up and get another higher end prospect in the organization which is not stacked with great prospects. We have 1 great prospect and 4-5 others that may have a decent NHL impact. And some others that will be fringe NHLer's. |

Geoffrion isn't a prospect.
Also, apparently it's going to be a very deep draft this year, I hope Bergevin keeps his first round pick and the 3 second round picks the team has.
No need to sacrifice any of that for a guy that will stay a few weeks here.

to be fair i said they're stacked with propspects and picks (not GREAT prospects) in this case i'm implying that losing a 2nd round pick doesnt much hurt a team with 3 of em, but if it can be used to move up like you said than yeah sure that would definetly be a better option
considering what we already have on the team tho and that line up of up and comers i'd say we're in a better position than most teams (unless they sucked forever like the oil) |

should i point out that you quoted me saying "including the ones in bold that graduated"
all good
anyways considering what they've recently turned later round picks into in the past few years i'd say we'll be alright this draft whether its with 2 2nd rounders or 3 |

SAYING THAT THEY ARE STACKED WOULD REFER TO THEM BEING INSANELY GOOD.
EXAMPLE THAT TEAM IS STACKED THIS YEAR!!
DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY MEET THE GENERAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE TEAMS ROSTER.
EVERY TEAM HAS ROUGHLY THE SAME NUMBER OF PROSPECTS. |
