I just hope they play a smart, disciplined game. Tampa Bay is a tough out, but if the Flyers can eliminate the mistakes and get some offense from the big guns, they can get the W.
They have to avoid the same mental mistakes they made against the Hurricanes, though. Limiting the turnovers and trips to the sin bin are vital. - Jsaquella
with lindback in goal, there's usually a rebound to work with. |

He is like 8'2. Id be sending add angle shots at his feet all night with guys crashing the net. Mcginn could be in for a decent night if Danny and G can get some shots off.
I wanna see the Flyers come out and establish a physical tone. Hit anything that moves. Dont back down. Play with some snarl. Its desperately needed.
I also think we see Crombeen drop the gloves tonight. After harrassing G last week, god knows he deserves to get his head kicked in. |

With all these injuries, our forward lineup looks like complete dog$h1T.
As the never talented Bruce Hornsby sang - "that's just the way it is". "Some things will never change". Hopefully, they do change.

Guy Boucher has always been a coach that preaches a teamwide defense-first system (despite the club's ugly GAA last year)
And it seems to be teams that play a defense-first system that seems to befuddle the Flyers.
Let's hope they've learned something and don't fall behind early such that they are chasing the game against a team that won't skate up and down with them. |

Bill, I like your reader prediction poll. Way to keep things fresh.
Let's hope the team comes to play tonight. Bryz is due for a bad start so let's hope it isn't tonight. |

The right time was last game when it happened.
Ive seen players jumped by entire teams for much less. I thought it looked like a lack of team spirit, but they might not have known what happened.. I dunno..
Erskine should have been beaten badly. - Flyersgod
agreed. it was pathetic. and they blew a lead and lost the (frank)ing game to boot. not flyers hockey. |

I said it a couple weeks ago... they need swagger. They play wayyyy too soft for my liking. I wanna see them assert themselves physically, and punish other teams. But we dont see it. |

To be fair, it'd help in that department if Simmonda and Hartnell were playing. Regardless, I agree. |

If it's any consolation, the Lightning will be without Matt Taormina tonight. So they have been crippled by injuries as well. |

I've been thinking this too. With the exception of a few guys, they've been playing very soft. They aren't getting in deep on the forecheck to begin with, but even when they do they back off hits and just let the other team bring the puck out. They need to start checking, and being more physical... obviously do it clean, and don't take stupid penalties... but no doubt the missing physicality is contributing to their losses...

Cant believe i forgot about Crombeen going after G for a couple of shifts. Paybacks should be in store tonight.
