not sure how weak he is, but he looked like an Olympic caliber diver on that play. If he was that easy to knock off his feet he'd never have made it in the NHL.

I agree. That's why I said there was no real reason for Coburn to give the refs a chance to make a weak call. Need better discipline.

Jvr never played bad last season, he was hurt. Jvr getting pulled off Giroux wing really hurt him once Hartnell and giroux build chemistry. Jvr is gonna be a beast and would have been the perfect winger to giroux for years to come. Worst move by Holmgren yet.

The referees haven't been very good so far this season, in my opinion. I know they're intentionally calling certain things more closely, but it's overall been bad on a league-wide scale. These guys have to expect inconsistency. Easier said than done, I know.

Yep. To me, the best refs are the consistent ones. Players like to know what is and isn't going to be called for the night.
