Meh. It is what it is—a bit of a glimpse in to an old mentality. I don't think it's hurting anybody.
Do you find the Celtics and Fighting Irish logos racist? - Fosco

Meh everyones feeling today seem to get hurt to easily. What is racist for some might not be racist to others. |

Not 100% sure. It also means our lady—meaning Mary—a symbol of the catholic church, and the school was originally a catholic school.
The Irish part I'd guess is just because of the high volume of Irish attendees. |

Luongo will compete to the age his body says no more. Enough . The GM of this team will have a plan or escape clause.
If the GM of this team went up to the owner and said I don't know whatr I am going to do with Lu's contract in 5 years ,then he would not be GM. I would bet they have about 15 different outs. That is why Burkie was willing to accept Lu's trade early on.
There will be no buy out , there will be an answer.
Leave the GMing to the people that actually know what they are talking about. - VANTEL
on the flip side, no GM attempting to make this trade can bank on the things u say. it would be completely irresponsible of him. not to mention he cant talk to lu about the retiring early or have some agreed upon deal, as thats against the rules.
and who's to guarantee luongo decides to retire and leave a few mil on the table?
i wouldnt.
especially if he feels hes got a little left in the tank regardless what the team wants.
banking on him retiring and therefore saving u tons of money/years is not a move any good gm would make.
that ten years left is BY FAR the biggest reason he hasnt been moved yet. this is a fact.
5.3 for a great goalie aint bad..its the length. anyone with a clue knows luongos skillz. he woulda been snatched up by now.
taking on that contract AND giving up assets is what's making gm's hesitate.
and thats why gillis hasnt been offered what he wants. and thats also why gillis keeps trying to convince everyone over and over what his worth is.
talk about leaving the gm'ing to the real gms....
wouldnt have said it was possible last summer, but im starting to think maybe schneider gets moved...who knows? |

So it looks like AV has already announced that CS will get the start in Minny.
As well, I read on CDC that RK17 could be back as soon as Saturdays tilt. |

Good to hear on both accounts, looking forward to see how Cory handles the adversity he's facing.
Now do we get Kes a 10 game grace to get into game shape...the Sedins still look slow and their passing is atrocious. |

I hope not. Kesler said that even though he has good motion, the stregth isn't there at all. For the love of all that it good and holy, can he please just get 100% heathy before returning. |

As of right now i wouldnt mind cs getting traded because lu is playing in a zone where hes playing great and MOST of the time not letting that terrible goal go in
But that could change because cs is just happened to have a bad start...
I would take CS over lu but if we can get a top 6 forward that can take us to cup level, why not trade him |

Kesler is too busy flirting with older women at local stores and doesnt have time to be a hall of famer diver in the nhl and shoot in spots where may ray would shoot |

Yeah, I agree completely. It's not like we're in last place either so hopefully he doesn't rush back this time. |

And you suggested trading him for Ovie, right? Ovie probably does much worse things off of the ice with all of his partying and Kesler is cheaper, a better all-around player, has more heart and a center. It's a lot easier finding capable top 6 wingers than it is centers. |

I'm guessing we don't see him for a couple weeks yet. But both Sekeres and Tomlinson say that he looks game ready in practice. However MG said he isn't even taking contact yet.
Who knows. |

We won't see Kesler until mid-March at the earliest, probably closer to April, why burn him out when we're going to be capable of holding the line until then for the most part. Honestly, at this point with how crazy the NHL is because of the lockout and how many injuries are happening on fluke plays and all, does it make sense to bring him back and have him be injured again? Booth will be back soon anyways, and will help our offense, even if he just stands in front of the net and screens goalies. |

It was a joke
The only reason why i would want ovi is for our powerplay
Kes is my fav canuck cuz in my opinion he plays with the biggest heart in the canucks
It really sucks that he has to go through injuries like these because if he didnt, he would be a consistent 40-50 goal scorer imo |
