Luongo is 3-9-1 all time in Minnesota. He's been pulled his last 3 games there. If this Lou is for real, I say play him and see what he does with it.

If he doesn't play Corey in Minn and the next 3 to 5 games Lu is not going anywhere. On the bright side no goalie controversy because AV will have chose his #1.

I just posted the opposite of what I was thinking.. I'm trying a new strategy on hockeybuzz, the old one was getting me banned too often.

Maybe that's his way of opening the door for his client to be the one traded instead of Luongo... Making that statement could result in a phone call or two from previously uninvolved teams inquiring if he's disgruntled & available. Wouldn't surprise me... If I were Schneider I'd be sick of the Gillis/AV circus. He & his agent negotiated & signed an extension with the whole world thinking Luongo had played his last game here. They should be disgruntled.

Sure, but applying heat again by making comments to the media to me is counter-productive. It's one thing if he calls up Gillis and says, "Look, my client is getting tired of the runaround, please trade Luongo quickly or else shop my client around so that my client can have a chance to establish himself as the true #1" rather than intimating it to the media. And seriously, if he's that upset that he's playing backup AT THIS TIME, while making starter money on a team that has a good chance if everyone is healthy and playing well by the time the playoffs come around to win the Cup, then he really isn't the answer anyways. I think I've said this before, Schneider never really had much of an off-season or a chance to prepare for it because he was part of the negotiating committee as the Canuck's player rep (along with Malhotra), and because of it, he might not quite be ready for the full grind of being the starter THIS year. It might be better for him to get a fewer starts here (maybe with him getting 55% or so) while he gets his mind/body back into playing hockey and then as the season progresses, give him 75% of the starts until he's at his peak and ready for the playoffs.

It was his first NHL goal, right? At least Tanev celebrates with his teammates rather than hot-dogging it down the ice away from them: it's like saying, "look, it's all about me!" Actually, they were all over Tanev because his shot had enough steam to make the net -- which could have been a first.

Duby is 7th in the league in SV% (among starters) and that includes the 6 goal period. Duby still cant get any respect. Give it another 20 games and then we'll see.
