Why do you think it was necessary to bring it up?
Do you feel you owe an apology to the other posters on this thread?
How do you think the stance you took will effect future postings on this and other threads by both yourself and the posters the agree and those that disagree with you?
Do you own a bomb shelter and will you be taking time away from posting to build one? |

Not sure if youre talking about Rinaldo, at work cant see link, but I dont think Rinaldo will get 30 pts in his career - KINGKENZO
he was compared to steve ott, but obviously no one expects anywhere close to ott's value besides the agitation aspect. |

Nice of the referee to take his helmet off. I guess he didn't want to get called for a visor instigator. |

First off - he owes nobody.. NOBODY.. further comment. He made his statement.. Boom.. that's it.. it's done. But people couldn't just let it be. They had to keep prying him, and his teammates... stirring the pot. Second-The media were the ones asking all of the questions and stirring crap up. Blame them.. not Thomas. Third-His teammates didn't have to say jack. Just say "No comment". Where under their job description does it say "...other duties as assigned, and answer stupid question from the media regarding an off ice incident where a teammate made a post on Facebook about his political beliefs."?
You're free to have your opinion of the guy.. as I am. And personally, I feel the guy is a real dbag on the ice. But I'm sick of seeing people rip him for how he acted during this whole thing, when he wasn't the one doing anything. He quietly said he wasn't going, and posted why.. and boom goes the dynamite all over the news. - WarriorHockey21
Whether we like it or not, there's going to be a TMZ aspect to sports reporting. Most media members are not going to simply ask about Thomas' comments and stop after they get a "No comment". I have zero issue with Thomas making his comment, but he has to realize that as a public figure, what he says is newsworthy.
Especially when you use a public platform to expouse a cause-any cause-you're going to be asked about it. And if it's something controversial, the media is going to ask not just you, but your teammates about it. Thomas had to have known that, if not the first time he made a facebook statement, then certainly by the time he made his second facebook statement.
Also, Thomas does owe somebody. He owes it to his team and teammates not to bring controversy and distractions into the locker room. |

Common mistake. First off, the third child is always the evil one, and second, never let the kids outnumber the adults.

FWIW, earlier I posted a tweet from Panaccio that isn't correct.
Giroux does not lead the NHL in face-off %. Among NHLers with 100+ faceoffs, his 55.4% is 7th.

Great trade the Stars made for Neal.
Mike Heika @MikeHeika
Glen Gulutzan just confirms that Alex Goligoski is a healthy scratch tonight.
Anyone want to venture a guess when Neal will be a healthy scratch for the Pens? - PLindbergh31
Goligoski has struggled this season but has been THAT awful. I suspect the scratching tonight is specifically over a series of low-percentage plays he made in the Phoenix and Colorado games. Scratching him after a win sends a message of individual accountability.
Goligoski did just fine immediately after the trade two seasons ago, while Neal scored a whopping one goal over the rest of his first season in Pittsburgh. Niskanen was deep in Marc Crawford's doghouse, and was just OK when he first came over to Pittsburgh.
The first full year after the trade was obviously lopsided toward Pittsburgh. Neal
blossomed and Niskanen got his career back on track. Goligoski started out last year on fire but then got injured (broken hand) and never really had his A game after he got back.
So far this year, Neal is scoring a lot of goals but really hasn't played THAT great overall (though I'm sure he'll be fine). Niskanen played well til he got hurt. Goligoski has struggled but should eventually be OK.

Paul Holmgren also once hit Andy Van Hellemond. - bmeltzer
Wasn't Homer going after O'Reilly that led to the installation of the Holmgren bars in NHL arenas? Or was it Cashman he was trying to murder? |

Homer could still probably be an intimidating presence on many a team's 4th line.

Apologize for an OT post here on Politicsbuzz!
One of the biggest factors in the win last night, was Giroux's work at the faceoff dot in the defensive zone. He was 11 of 16 for 69% overall in defensive zone draws. Including going 9-12 against the big 3 of Lecavalier, St. Louis, and Stamkos. Getting control of the puck and limiting their chances on offensive zone starts was big last night.
Highlight was 4-4 and 100% against Stamkos. |
