Apparently, 2 players (one who helped contain the Art Ross winner in the playoffs) make up almost the entire Philadelphia blue line. Also, for my money, I'd take Grossmann (2 n's buddy) over Lovejoy.

That said, Lovejoy isn't bad. But he'd fallen down the depth charts and wasn't going to get a chance to be a regular at this point, and other teams knew it. Not a great return, but better than nothing.

I love Kimmo, but 6 still seems a little steep to me.. I do know d man are more valuable, but 6 mil for a late 30's d man who has had injury issues with his back

It's a 1 year deal...very little risk in a 1 year deal so $6M is not bad at all especially considering how important he is to that blueline and that team.
