What did Ennis do that he had a bad game? He got on the scoresheet from hard work. Battled in front for the two assists. Used his speed for his goal. He was skating all over the ice. Battling and hitting in the corners. Did Ennis have a bad game because Foligno and Stafford werent supporting him tonight? They were nonexistent out there so Ennis was doing it all by himself?
I feel like you guys just pick out someone, and just say "they had a bad game". The Buffalo hive mind mentality. One person will say it, then unsupported everyone jumps on it. Sekera was that player last year. Seems like its Ennis this year. - theblueandgold
He was terrible on the PP for one. Blew up several rushes with sloppy passing and stick handling. He was less than 50% on FOs in the offensive zone again. In my opinion, he is the reason our PP was not very good tonight. I don't think he should be a center. Especially on the 1st PP unit like he was tonight.
Sabres win, way to battle back Sabr.....um I mean Buffalo Pomminvanek's. I have such a man wood for Vanek. Dude is a wizard with the puck.
Always thrilled to see a win over Montreal. Reminds me of the comeback from down 4-2 the night before my wedding.
One thing this team could benefit from and make better use of the ice time is stop having Foligno carry the puck in the zone and try and do something with it. He has no hands. He wastes so many good rushes a game.

He is really young and up and coming. If you have watched EDM games, he has not gotten a fair shake to compete with the likes of Hall, Eberle, RNH, Gagner, Yakupov logging minutes on the forward ranks.
He plays a fantastic two way game. He is very underrated Defensively. Points dont tell the whole story.
Not to mention he is I think 22-23.
What has Stafford ever done to warrent any kind of big return? - ImThatGuy
I want Staff gone too, but he has scored 30 goals in 60 games 2 years ago and 20 last season. MPS has potential but he is not on a line with bums, they have been talking about trading him for a while now. He has been a disappointment. No way Staff+ for him IMO

He hasnt been good on face offs. But you know what, there are other people on the ice that can take the faceoffs too. Doesnt have to be him. He is our best puck handler, stick handler, and thats not even debatable. He sees the ice as well as anyone on our team. He belongs on the first PP unit. You dont take him off it because he struggles winning face offs.
Him "blowing up" several rushes is a fault of our PP system. Its built on him skating into a wall of 4 opponents with the rest of our players standing still. Its absolutely the worst PP entry in the league, and we've done it for years. The defensemen shooting the puck wide of the net, and not getting around on the boards to keep pucks in the zone was far more detrimental to our PP tonight than anything Ennis did.
You're harping on some pretty miniscule things compared to his overall game. Really. He played a solid game tonight. Far more positives than negatives.

Ennis won 56% of his faceoffs tonight. He also had no giveaways. Not sure why everyone is harping on him. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks everyone is being overly critical.

Which is good because he has been 38% on the season. He was 45% last season his first year being a full time center.

The only person under 50% tonight for us was Jochen. If they keep working at it, it'll get better. Hodgson has looked a lot better the last 2 games, so he must be working on it during practice.
