Did you really just say that to me?? Really??? - HonkFortheGoose
Lame Comment aside.....Stafford is paid to score and aside from a 3 or 4 assists he is barely noticeable....except for turning the puck over.....but he is still young and has enough file footage....perhaps they can swing him into something......at least im hoping

Ennis won 56% of his faceoffs tonight. He also had no giveaways. Not sure why everyone is harping on him. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks everyone is being overly critical. - HonkFortheGoose
ennis is explosive and getting better at being defensively responsible. vanek and ennis resulted in a goal tonight, which is basically the hope, and current failed project with ennis stafford. ennis' own goal is what i like to refer to now as "screw it, my linemates are terrible (foligno would benefit too because he's like andreychuk in that he's a brute and will fight in the corners and usually get the "garbage goals" because he's not afraid of the net) and i have to do it myself" mode.
anyways, ennis doesn't bother me but i think he would be a heck of a lot better of stafford wasn't here. hell, i would probably advocate leino-ennis-foligno, if leino wasn't hurt.

Muers had another solid game... Despite what +/- says neither od those goals were his fault.. he was down trying to block the shots on both...
VHP is just playing amazing in the offensive zone... They still need to give a sh1t in the defensive zone though.. they have given up 5 goals in the past 2 games

i think at this point their goal is to score goals, because no one else is doing it.
Seeing that i didnt get to post last night this has prob been said 100x already but VANEK is a beast. Just absolutely on fire right now. He also took a beating last night and just kept going back for more.

Where would this team be without Thomas the Tank?
I recall seeing some conversations here about Kopitar and Kovalchuk being better then Vanek.
At this point in time, Kovalchuk is close, Kopitar not so much.
I'd take Thomas the Tank over both of those players. Easily over Kopitar.
Thomas is so lazy he only scores game tying goals lieing down.

By good you mean good at screening Miller, while making a terrible play at blocking a shot, so that Miller couldn't see it.

Vanek plays and sounds like a man who has found himself. His whole career here has been underapprociated by many. Not by me, but many.....

Reaching a little there? He made a bad pinch on the breakaway goal, I personally thought he wasn't very good at all last night but no one on the blueline was. Weber sucked too, he's starting to put himself out of position to hit people which is what he was doing last year. The first goal was his fault. Ehrhoff and Leopold got caught in their own zone numerous times and couldn't clear. Saw nothing really good out of Brennan or Sulzer. Problem with Myers is that every single time he makes a bad decision it always ends up in a goal. He never get's bailed out like other people

Myers was doing what a TON of d-men across the league do... he stood by miller in order to clear the crease.. the fact that the offensive players were able to move the puck around in order to use Myers as a screen is not his fault. He did his job. I saw him throwing guys around in front of the net all night.

He wasn't good last night, but the problem I have with singling Myers out, was no one was good.
