Never seen someone root against a player on his own team like you do, it's weird. I'm positive he did something personal to you - sbroads24
Yet we don't cheer our team enough. |

I really can't tell... it seems like since the guy in his avatar is having a great season he thinks that he can take stupid and incorrect shots at everyone else... false sense of higher being I would say... |

Calling his opinion stupid and incorrect doesn't really help your argument either though |

well... I see the point in that... but when it is just throwing something out there that is obviously incorrect just because you don't like a player... that does ring in the argument of being something "stupid" to have said... |

People were yelling at Myers on every play in the building yesterday. That IS pathetic. Nothing like smelling blood in the water, I guess. Give the kid a break. |

This city sometimes bothers me. Especially the fans. They always find that one guy and just latch on to him. It's getting to the kid too, you can tell |

This was a loud moment, and it continued into much of the OT and the shootout. |

As bad as our D is, we still need 2 more top 9 fwds. i want stafford off this team, and hetch off the 3rd line, and no gerbe on the 3rd line/ or even on the team either.
i think the D can pull their heads out of their rears, but we need more skill guys playing more. This would also help Grigs play with more talent, and get him going. |

It's weird, almost like I'm gonna be mad that Vanek has been great. Because I don't have the same weird obsession to actually root for players to fail like some people do with Miller or Myers. |

I see Myers game improving, but he is still miles from where he should be. There were several times last night where he backed off from physicality, made poor decisions with the puck and was out of position. He also picked some nice spots to pinch and showed signs of returning to form. No way he is above criticism. We need him to be one of the best players on the ice every night. High expectations, but that's the position he's in. |

He got jumped with his team down two. Enjoy the moral victory, I guess but that was dumb, dumb, dumb by White. |

Constructive criticism... +2
But just being a goof off throwing things out that are short-sided is what is annoying to me.
I agree that he has a huge paycheck to live up.. but we have seen each of the last three seasons that it has taken him time to adjust to the game... but what thing that is true is that by about 1/3 through the season.. he is arguably our best D-man on the ice every night. For being a 22 year old, I expect growing pains and trying to fit the cookie cutter model.. if you expect perfection in everything you do.. you are going to live a sad life.. |

Could you imagine if he played for the Habs, Leafs, Canucks, Flyers? Fans love a scapegoat. I'm indifferent about crowd noise. I love when it's loud but for myself, I just like to sit and focus on watching the players and the game. I could go to a game and not say one word, does that make me an unpassionate fan? |

BS... Might not have been on camera, but that was right after Ott gave him the ol' tap and he wanted nothing to do with it. They both could have been off for 5 minutes, but White skated away. |

I am the same way.. I actually LOATHE the people around me who just scream and scream all game.. it kind of ruins the experience for me. I like to watch the play closely.
If I sat there and focused on one players performance every day.. well.. I would have a worse hairline than I already do now.. |

Pretty much. It really bothers me when someone takes so much criticism that people actually forget how good Myers was even just as recently as last year before he got hurt. He was maybe our best player besides Miller for a good 25 game stretch. Is he playing well now. Obviously he is not. I'm pretty sure he will get better, someone said the other day, he might never win a Norris, but chances are he will be a solid player who can score goals. |

He was also injured not too long before the lockout ended. Maybe that is playing a part. It seems like a confidence thing. He's a big, talented dude with some agility. He looks like a defenseman who should be able to impose his will out there. It frustrating when it doesn't happen.
I agree that booing a 22 yr old every time he has the puck is ignorant. I heard a lot of stupid garbage being yelled at last nights game. More than usual, and not from Habs fans. |
