exactly. he does what is necessary to help his team win.

Ott gets it. its why he is really good at what he does. its why JR put him in his top 5 most hated players in his book. its why buffalo traded for him.

sometimes you turtle to get the PP. sometimes you drop em. all depends on the situation and what you team needs at that time and Ott has a really good understanding of this. you dont think they all want to drop em and go every time???

kaleta used to suck at that- he was willing to play the role but didnt understand all the nuances that went with it and got a bad rep because of that. ruff has worked with him and he is much better now and pretty effective when he manages to stay in the lineup...

That was a poor and selfish decision on White's part. Ott did what he had to do on the play. White was in the doghouse for 3 games because of a similar incident that happened in Ottawa. Not a fight, but he lost his cool, got a penalty and then started yapping at the refs. Ottawa scored 2 goals on that penalty.

Therrien said last night after the game that putting White back into the lineup "wasn't the best decision he ever made"
