I would like to see Grigo playing solid 2C time but be interchangable with Ennis as the 3C depending on the situation. I want to see Grigo also get some not all 2C on the PP unit. I think that in some situations Ennis should be on the ice more than Grigo due to proving that he can score and skate with experience where as Grigo has shown that he doesn't have the poise yet. Ennis is actually better defensively in my mind not because of strength or check but just awareness of things such as passing lanes, liabilities on the ice, and experience in the NHL.

Did Grigo look decent last night? Didn't catch the game. Hopefully he looks more comfortable.

is Everett still under contract

and would he be considered a top 15 at his position if healthy?

- Crimsoninja

So when is Pronger getting traded to the Isles?

I realize that Buffalo had a TON of PP time last night and the Hab's were playing with the lead a lot but did anyone else think that TJ Brennan had his best game of the season last night ?

Looked the most comfortable on the ice I've ever seen.

- Pairo11

Just show casing him to trade him IMO.

I absolutely "ravaged" the Sabres roster last night in PS3...

got rid of Regehr, Leo, Sulzer, Leino, Gerbe, Brennan, Ennis, Enroth, and Stafford and got Patrick Kane, Chris Stewart, Hjalmarsson, Kevin Klein, and Greiss.

ehhh... I want a bigger fish in the sea than him...

Lydman would be better to pick up as a UFA after this season in my mind.. he is a defensive minded dman that lays hits and blocks shots.

I htink Couver is going to have to trade Bieska or Hamhuis too. i think they want to move Ballard but not as many takers on that market.

Other UFAs this summer on D include Ryan Whitney, Chris Butler, John Erskine, Andrew Ference, Ron Hainsey, Andreas Lilja, Douglas Murray, Rob Scuderi, Ladislav Smid, and Ian White. Not great names but solid 3-4 type guys who could compliment Myers and Ehrhoff to round out our top 4 for sure.

- JVince11

Ryan Suter -7 on a struggling team with no goals to boot. I wonder if they are going to run him out of town? He makes some money right?

Myers played his best when paired with Hank
- Dwight K. Schrute

Few things.

1. Tallinder doesn't play at that same level anymore.
2. He's a heathy scratch, that speaks for itself.
3. Leo and Regehr cover the quota for aging defensemen.
4. Jochen Hecht... can we stop bringing guys back for comfort's sake? Change is good.

I only caught bits and pieces of the game... when he as on the ice.. I didn't really notice him... he made a few decent passes and some solid shots on goal that were more for rebounds than an actual shot attempt. He is still playing to not make a mistake instead of playing to do something great which is what made him Grigo in my opinion. I don't think he understands the system yet and the fact that he plays with Foligno, Ott, Gerbe, Stafford, Hecht, or Kaleta every other shift doesn't help him get to know his teammates tendencies any better.

not a chance would they do that... sorry...

the trading market is not defined yet.. because in one night... with 2 points.. Buffalo went from 14th place to tied for 9th place in the EC. There are no clear sellers at this point.

nope look at the devils D and you will realize its due to depth and because deboar wants to make sure everyone is fresh and healthy

salvador has been steady and is the captain wont take him out
fayne is underrated and is very reliable in the D end and has awareness
greene is another dman that wont be seen by most but he is having his best year so far and is steady back there
larsson didnt play first 5 games but has looked good and you need young players getting time
volchenkov is playing well and hasnt been a problem other than his uncharacteristic turnover vs the pens
zidlicky has helped the offense and brings the puck up the ice well and is a very good passer, really the only offensive minded dman devils have

its more a numbers game than him being a healthy scratch

ESPN.COM: Pierre LeBrun reports Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier has called his counterparts around the NHL in search of a trade to help his struggling club, but there’s not much to be found in what’s currently a soft trade market.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Business will likely pick up as we get closer to the mid-point of this 48-game schedule, but will it come soon enough to help a team like the Sabres? If not, it could turn Regier from a buyer into a seller.
