I don't know if this has been discussed already, but WGR had a poll this morning that asked, of the big three of Vanek, Pominville or Miller, which one is the most important to re-sign before 2014.

Vanek - 86%

Pominville - 4%

Miller - 3%

I have my own thoughts on this, but I was more amazed at how fickle people really are.

Ennis is the description of what is wrong with most of this team.. He has skill in some locations (puck control and skating), has absolutly no skill in some locatoins (faceoffs), doesn't care at times (i watched him just stand there and let the other team take the puck last night), and does it all while being highly inconsistent

Seriously, just stop. Ennis is in the top 5 of good things the sabres have going for them. Roy is gone, stop pretending Ennis is now Roy.

im just comparing all his numbers to hodgson because people say hodge is a godsend when hes similar offensively and far worse defensively.

i never said he was.. i was just saying what i thought about him.. he is just an overall indication of what is wrong with this team.. he is talented and he needs to step up.. it would help is Stafford got of the LTIR and started playing

until this year it was really a forgone conclusion that vanek would have a paycut, but now who knows.

we need both Ennis and Hodge... Sometimes Ennis plays around with the puck to much and looks like Max 2.0... And Hodge gets rid of it... They are very similar players and both skate thier a$$ off... They are both important to this team..

I like him as our 3C, Sabres need Grigo to be in our top 2. Lindy needs to take the handcuffs off this kid. Yes he's going to make mistakes, but that how he'll learn. Would like to see Grigo, Foligno and acquire winger to complement them. Put Ennis and Staff on the 3rd line with Ott.

i dont like foligno as a 2nd line player. i think foligno - ennis - stafford is like your absolute ideal 3rd line on a contending team.

You must be St. Joe's alum or something... Leggio is not an NHL goalie.

That said, I'd rather have him play over Enroth....

Why? Because Ennis had a three-point game last night? Last night only skewed his stats, to make it seem like he's been producing all along. Fact is, he hasn't. Ennis is not a good centerman. Is he a good hockey player? Sure, he is. But if the right trade came along: see ya.

Hodgson is producing at a point per game, and has been consistent.

Before last night Ennis had 6pts in 10 games...
That equals about 50points in a full season
I'd like better, but that's not bad
And considering both of his line mates got off to horrible starts, that's really not too bad
Ennis has had an impressive start to his career, and I think he can become a pretty solid #2center or even move back to the wing & still do well
I think Ennis will produce Roy-like #s, so as long as he doesn't come w the other BS we got from Roy, then I'm quite alright with him

Have no problem with them has a 3rd line. Kind of like Vanek-Roy-Max back in 05-06. But the Sabres can't continually put Grigo with Hecht & Ott and expect him to produce. That’s why we drafted him, to SCORE not play a sound two-way-game. I get that Hecht & Ott are defensibly responsible, but just sick of that “Ruff mentality” of coaching.
