Candidly, London is like New York, only harder to navigate above ground and bigger. You can't see it all, just can't - you could be there a month and still miss half of it.
My serious advice - see parliament, ride the giant ferris wheel, walk inside Westminster, see a show at Piccaddilly after getting lost in the West End, and what ever you do - get pissed off of a good, solid English Bitter (NO SUBSTITUTIONS).
You should eat Tikka Masala, try and find Toad in the Hole at a good pub. Drink more solid English Bitter (seriously, don't drink anything other than Bitter when you're there).
Go to the Tower and pay attention to the Ravens - some of the coolest animals you'll ever see. Walk around a bit, and then when you get lost (you'll get lost) hail a mini cab. Drink more Bitter
The busses are fun, but now it's really hard to find a classic double unless you're in a neighborhood you shouldn't be. Take the train - fantastic public transport. Drink more Bitter.
I think that's about it. Oh, in a pinch - claim to be Canadian. - nfph
Now even I want to go..

The main thing we are looking forward to is going to Fabric during the weekend.... Landing on Wednesday and leaving Monday. Not sure what to do while we aren't partying.
Figured we'd hit the pubs and do some sight seeing.

Oh, one other thing: you know how any reasonably attractive guy with a European accent is a chick magnet in The States?
Yeah, that doesn't work the other way around at all. |

I lived in Manchester for about a year in my 20s. I did alright, but nothing like if I was Robert Freaking Pattinson at Buff State |

Would you approve trading Enroth for another backup in the league, to shuffle the deck if you will?
I know Jonas is not highly thought of around these parts, but I think he could be good. - FLflames34
darcy won't do it, he likes enroth and was pretty disappointed he played like garbage the other night. he's said a few times he remembers enroth vs rask and that enroth was better, and he still believes enroth can play at a high level. i wouldn't think we could get much for him anyways, and trading goalies seems like a bad deal for regier because he wouldn't want to look stupid if enroth panned out elsewhere. granted if someone really coveted him, i think he would do it, but there's no way to know that. |

i hear alot about him on here but i really never watched him play. gm's always have a few players that they covet from other teams (outside of superstars) but hockey buzz has many lol. - joshs
I think he's a really good player. Great mix of size hands and grit. |

i don't know what prompted almost trading him (maybe) last year but it seems like that ship has sailed at this point. it's a shame but i'm sure it happens all the time. |

I don't think he was ever on the block. Ryan just got sick of the swirling rumors and said either trade me or don't. They didnt and here we are. |

I'm quite shocked that Buffalo reminds me of my Leafs this season. I figured they'd be more of a disciplined predator type team that can win on D. Is Miller fading, or is their D-fence really that overrated? Anyone actually think from watching thus far that this team has serious deep playoff potential? Gotta say, just disappointed in the Sabres, other than beating the Canadiens. |

our defensive core is space parts that don't fit and our "young star" is playing like his head is in the clouds. on top of that our team defense is also bad, and we don't have much in the way of secondary scoring. here's where i would start complaining about faceoffs because they're not the best but if the rest of the thing were fixed we would probably care a lot less about faceoffs.
anyways, it's a weird season and we are developing our youth. my hope is that they learn, we shuffle the deck and trim some defensive veteran fat in the off-season and maybe add a scoring winger (through F.A, trade or prospect/draft) and maybe add a new veteran defenseman (probably through trade since the FA market this summer is garbage) if possible.
our team isn't horrible but is playing horrible at the moment, and people are sick of losing and are starting to get squirrel-y because expectations have been high since pegula came in. we need patience but i know we don't have it, which is not entirely our fault since we've been in the wilderness for a little too long. |

Reasons for not having Patience......wilderness, that and Pegula said our sole purpose was to win a Stanley cup which with every passing game that we flounder and are unwilling to make changes makes him seem like it was just an appeasing statement by an incoming owner trying to excite the fan base. |

of course they're reasons for not having patience but not having patience doesn't help the situation because we can't make the changes so why lose our minds over this, fans are acting like caged animals.
when pegula said our sole purpose was to win a cup, he meant it, and these things can take time. he should have cleaned house when he came in but he didn't and we're going to just have to live with that fact, he's the owner, we're not. that being said, his statement may have been overzealous but it wasn't false just because around 2 years later we still don't have a cup, none of us can predict the future with certainty. golisano's M.O was buy the team low and sell high and always make some kind of profit. Pegula's statement was "hey, we're going to use the resources because we want to win the cup" so no nickel and diming that might get in the way of that goal.
i know people are pissed but yelling like idiots at games unrelentingly and spazzing out ever 5 minutes about how screwed we are is just as bad as watching this team play like garbage. |

Whether the people he brought in worked out or not is a moot point. Just getting new people in charge sets a different tone. This tone ain't working. |

I don't understand why he didn't clean house, I mean it's not like Ruff/Regier were lighting it up with constant Stanley Cup challenging Rosters and Systems, I think he is a bit of a fool being parted from his money. |

That whole, "our purpose is to win the Stanley cup" was a personal jab at Tom Golisano. Its also insulting to the knox family as well. As if they didn't want the cup bad. At the moment Pegula really has his foot in his mouth since taking over the team the team has hovered at the bottom of the league. A place they historically haven't spent a lot of time at. If things dont turn around and he doesn't recognize the need for changes he's really going to have to redefine what he mean by "from this day foward.......blah blah blah". |

pegula, a fan of the sabres, is not going to buy a team just to have it, he wants to win. he should have cleaned house and he didn't, i guess we'll see what that gets us in a few years.
it took jeremy jacobs 40 some years to win a cup, hopefully we'll win one sooner than that, but i mean it's not like we can just trade for oveckin, crosby, keith, and chara, these things take time, and it's frustrating for us, and i'm sure pegula is frustrated too, what can you do. we'll see their creativity at work as the years pass and maybe that involves insane trades or free agency signings or maybe that involves firing ruff and accidently on purpose hiring the next scotty bowman to lead us to the promised land, who knows.
