he gets himself in good shooting positions and shoots quickly. i can see how he has alot of points in the AHL. i dont think he will have a problem scoring in the NHL level. i agree that when he has open shots on the goalie he needs to put it on net.

So do the rest of the guys on the team. They're all terrible about actually hitting the net. It's always wide. And when they do shoot one that will probably hit the net, it gets blocked.

A lot of that is coaching IMO. I rag on Ehrhoff but every single Sabre has trouble hitting the net, and it's been like that forever

Maybe if he would take a little off his shot he would hit the net.

I swear we have been running the same play of the PP for the last three seasons; setting up the shot from the top of the far faceoff circle. It misses almost every time and comes around the boards and out of the zone. It doesn't matter who is shooting the puck, even an accurate guy like Pommer, the shot almost always misses the net. I can't stand it. It's such a low percentage play.

yea right. Might be a top 10 pick. You won't get much for a high priced healthy scratch

You're not getting a first from Buffalo. Not in this year's draft. And certainly not for Tallinder.

i get the point behind it (that allows us easy entry in the zone) but i personally would want to gain the zone with numbers. kinda like, look to set up a mini rush.

How could I forget about that one? It worked in one game against Toronto two seasons ago and they still pull that play out from time to time; it's now painful to watch when they do it. You can tell the guys on the ice don't even have faith in that play by the way they just half ass it when they're told to do it.

The Montreal game is a perfect example of how to score goals in this league now. Low shot from the point, guys like Foligno and Vanek crashing the neck with reckless abandon. Bang...two goals!

Tallinder's a soon to be 34 year old who cant crack a lineup to save his life.

You'll take nothing, and like it.

We went to Ireland for 2 weeks this past October. Never been to England, but if it's anything like Ireland, which I am sure it is, you're in for a treat! Fabric would be amazing! Do you get the Fabric Live CDs?

Not certain yet, but based on first half of morning skate, Sabres might scratch Tyler Myers.

How about Gerbe for Tallinder and Scott Stevens' retired jersey? That jersey would probably hit more people than an Andrej Sekera body check or a Christian Ehrhoff slapshot.
