I havent agreed with Lava's line-up decisions a few times this season. However he has tried to reel them in a little and not go on such an offensive focus.

This is on the young kids slumping and the players Holmgren put on the ice.

Jagr, JvR, and Hartnell (lots of goals to replace).

McGinn, Knuble, Fed not really going to make up that production.

Thats why its important for Schenn, Voracek, and Couturier to step up this year. It's still early in the season so will see what happens.

Manhandled and outnumbered on the wall all night. This is the first game that has really pissed me off. Just an atrocious effort tonight after a pretty good first period.

However Giroux is driving me insane. Lazy decisions all over the ice. Briere himself needs to step it up.

Voracek has been an utter dissapointment. Flashes here and there, but not good enough.

It's sad when you know getting more than one goal in a game is a tough thing for this team. I'd rather take the poopty D and goalie play from last year over this trash.

I just dont know what many could do with this group? Maybe you get Schenn, Giroux, Briere and Voracek to wake the hell up. It shouldnt take firing a coach of Lava's caliber to do that.

Putting a team together that doesn't look very good. I know it's early and they can still make a run. I just don't understand how firing the coach is best solution.

Who would have thought after a goal on the first shift it would have resulted in being held to 2 goals or less in 10 of 13 games.

Those two players are difference makers. Not sure how much better they will be but those two players should upgrade the roster no question.

Obviously I think they just have to ride it out, not much that can be done. I am not impressed with the veterans on this team.

Briere, Coburn, Kimmo, Voracek and Giroux have been sub-par.
