I'm not scared yet.

This team is just suffering from a lack of confidence and bone-headed mistakes. Numerous times (excluding tonight's game), I have seen some great stuff in the offensive zone. They seem to cycle a lot better than they did last year--except, they can't get a set shot.

Ride this storm out, especially this road trip and then see what you can do.

Lack of scoring, lack of discipline, lack of effort, and non competitive play on the road is plenty to be concerned with. The overall team defense is non existent a good amount of the time.

Look at this tweet after that goal. I chuckled. Bryzgalov obviously wasn't at fault tonight, had little chance on all of the goals.

Ilya Bryzgalov's right pad is like a pinball paddle.

What is it that this team struggles so badly on the road?

They were really playing well until the Rinaldo penalty. It seems like that penalty took the momentum away and they never recovered.

The first had some good back and forth play, with a lot of the Leafs chances on PP's...for whatever reason, they came out in the second and were simply not putting forth the effort needed to win.

That's the troubling thing, a lot of the poor play on defense was by veteran types be counted on to do heavy lifting

Well, they have a nice long ride to digest this game and decide how they want to react tomorrow night.

They'll have to figure this out quickly or there may be a few new bodies on the plane ride back home after this road trip.

as far as i am concerned the only player on this team who should be safe is Giroux ... ant trade that can improve this ream should be made ...oh and JVR for schenn looks just as stupid now as i thought it was when it was made is that 8 goals for JVR now... great call holmgren

I'm sure Crosby thought the same thing. Unless your perception of hockey is that every skilled player is Anton Ohno skating fast in a circle, every player becomes vulnerable.

Lol Schenn never hit Crosby, he hit Malkin. Schenn is a slug, JVR proved it tonight.

JvR is the man but if Gustafsson was out there tonight he wouldn't have scored.

Schenn isnt really slow imo. His speed is average and he can get burned by faster guys like JVR.

It will take him learning how to use angles and make good decisions.

I will be completely honest that at times I do wish the team had JVR instead of Luke but I think long term it will be a pretty fair deal. If JVR played with the kind of consistency he has shown in Toronto he would be a Flyer. Unfortunate.

I'm not against making changes, so long as they're not short term. Fire Laviolette? Fine, but do it because you think that it's a long term situation and not because he can't get a very young team to play great every night. Trade Voracek? Sure, but get a young player that fills a need, don't trade him for a veteran who will be gone by next summer.

Crazy times get crazy thoughts running through my head.

Just going to throw one of these out here. Not that I am advocating for it in any way.

Just had a scenerio of Giroux having a sub par season and being traded for Weber.

The flyers are just too slow. Couldn't handle the leafs speed tonight and it made them look real bad. Are we done with the knuble experiment? How is wellwood not an effective player on this team anymore? Their getting best to pucks everywhere.

If panatchio pulls his head out of his ass and watches the game once in a while he would actually have to do some game analysys
