Minnesota legislature. North Stars left, Twins almost contracted, Vikings nearly moved to LA. Little of it had to do with fan support or who was on the roster - SotaPopinski

Dammit. I was hoping for a "the Leafs are the real deal" blog after handling the Flyers last night.
Seriously though guys, give Ek a break here. A lot of people have been clamoring for rumours blogs. He puts one out and you poop all over it? |

In the year 2006 - 2007 lets take a look at home attendance %
LA 19th at 91%
Some notables below..
Winnipeg 87%
Boston 84%
New Jersey 74%
Chicago 62%
St. Louis 59%
Same teams below the Kings in 2007-2008
The next year, 2008-2009, Chicago shot up to #1 in attendance. Wonder why? Oh, they made the playoffs that year.
You are welcome for your history lesson today. |

What would it take to get Clutterbuck as well? |
|

Getzlaf, clearly. Bona fide #1 centers are reasonably rare in the NHL. The Ducks can replace Perry more easily than Getzlaf.
That said, being able to afford both guys is not an issue, at all. The team has a ton of cap space already, and both Selanne and Lydman are likely off the roster next season.
If Getz and Pears want to be in Anaheim, they will be in Anaheim. There is no issue with getting them both under the cap. |

Not as far as I've seen. Yeah we have some, but what fan base doesn't? - Deadmau55
LA have a huge region to draw fans from, probably why they may have more fair weather fans than other teams. They have more people to draw from. |

Will they get the deal done before the trade deadline though? If not Getz and Perry are puttin management in a very tuff spot. |

Can't believe the FO has allowed it to get to this point. I guess with the new CBA and all, but you would think locking up your 2 best players would be the priority. |

No team is going to trade for Harding now that he has been diagnosed with MS, and is missing tonights game because of it. |

I love it possible BIG news in a week to 10 days. The only big news we want to hear is that Wang sold the team to Ratner, Prokhov (barlcays center developer, nets owner) or some other wealthy person that will invest $$ in the team and run them like a Pro franchise not a 3rd tier team on the cheap.
A real NHL player or 2 or 3 would be nice also. But snow doesn't like ot make deals unless it's for draft picks! - guno89

Sure they do. O'Rielly isn;t that good..reinforced by the avs unwillingness to pay him like the player AV fans think his value is in trade. - yaktalksback
not saying he is the best in league or anything hes not a superstar but he is a solid second line center and one of the best defensive forwards in the nhl. but who would they give up? |
