At least Roy could produce secondary scoring... We never addressed the points we would lose when we traded him...
Ott is a great player and leader that we desperatley needed... But he wont score 70 points... - BuffaloKyle
Id say Cody
Ott fills whatever Kassian would have done Cody takes Roy's |

My problem is that Ruff gets talented players and then tries to get them to change the way they play and play his way. A good coach will recognize his players strengths and build around that, not ignore those strengths and make them change. A lot of players in this league would struggle here because they would be forced to change the way they play. - adambuffalo
Sorry, but what evidence do you have to support this? Who are you identifying as talented players, andwhat are their strengths? Vanek is a talented player and is stilll performing well. Drury and Briere performed very well while playing for Ruff. Pominville I would say has marginal to decent talent and has vastly over-performed under Lindy.
I guess I just don't see what others are saying about Lindy taking away players' strengths. |

obviously there are bits and pieces of this ^^^ in every thread, but the vast vast VAST majority of the posts seem to revolve around the same "(frank) buffalo we suck woe is me" circle jerk. - Putzfrau

It's supposed to be Ennis. That second line is simply ice cold. |

so you'd rather female dog and moan?
good to know i guess, i'm just not that type of person.
i'm not going too regularly choose to feel bad about something. - Putzfrau
I would rather criticise Regier for not producing a Stanley Cup contender year after year for 17 years, Ruff for not being able to motivate his team anymore and the players for being incredibly inconsistent rather than play the fantasy hockey trade game that involves Sekera and a 2nd for Ryan O'Reilly. |

Ruff needs to go... he has no control over this team anymore.. |

If that makes you happy... Like I said I'm not one to stick around to play in the mud. I might kick and splash around for a bit but at some point I'm getting out. I don't need, nor do I want to constantly view the team with that much negativity. And it would be the same for anything.
At a certain point i no longer want to feel nothing but anger and resentment towards the sport I love.
I'm not being unrealistic, or naively optimistic. I'm just choosing not to spend all my energy i put into hockey on crying about the same things year after year.
It's not like we have any control over the situation. I don't like to consistently bring myself down about things I can do nothing about. It's problem isn't solvable to me, so why waste my tears and energy on it. |

Yea, Ennis is far from the problem IMO and gets no respect as a good young player |

I, personally, never expected Foligno to be a "big time secondary scorer" I expected maybe 15-20 goals in a full 82 game season... Stafford needs to be the 25 goal and 50+ pt guy...
Foligno is the physical hitter on that line with the forecheck. |

In my opinion he still makes too many mistakes. Still holds onto the puck too long and seems to think he can constantly skate through 2 or 3 defenders.
Even with that said I think he's very talented and could grow to be a very strong second liner. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that he seems to produce well still having a lot of obvious room to grow |

Ruff wasn't going to change Drury or Briere. They are both independent guys who wouldn't be told what to do. Vanek and Pominville have been here their whole careers, so we don't know what they could have done if in a different position. Guys who played considerably worse when they came here: Boyes, Torres, Bernier, Zubrus, Conklin, Lalime, Moore, Niedermayer, Kennedy, Leino. |

aww but he "hearts" ott!!!
seriously though- borderline calls on both teams. game called a bit too tight for my liking (while missing obvious stuff).
and will the (frank)ing linesman drop the (frank)ing puck already!?!?!?!?!
not only are they regularly tossing out both centers, but now they are getting on the wingers!!! enough!!! drop it and let em play!!! |

Foligno is a physical forward... I don't expect him to get in fights every other night.. I just expect him to hit people... get the puck to the skilled people on the ice.. and chip in when he has his chances... |
