I would love the Habs to add a guy like ROR, but after all this sh*t with PK and the amount we signed him for makes it pretty much impossible to land him.

We have good prospect coming from up on defense. Tinordi, Beaulieu to name a few are big bodies. Bergevin need to work the size of our offensive players. DD has no business being #1 or #2 center. But the Habs our in reconstruction of a new face and new philosophie. When Galchenyuk will reach the 1st line in 2 or 3 years, the new blood in defence have a year or two under their belt, it will then be time to trade for that big body centre we are so in need now. This obviously will bring Pleck down as our 3rd center and that is where he should be in 2 yrs at 32 yrs old. Anything before that is pointless cause the Habs are just not ready.

I get your point, but if these two D youngsters will be here next year is there anyone on defence that you would let go this year before their market value falls? I just think that we need a big body to help clear the front of the net. I don’t want an overpaid, offensive defenseman, but a stay home journeyman. Even with the arrival of two youngster, there will be a need for some experienced very defensive D. I’m not the GM, but I would package Markov and + to secure a centre and Journeyman D.
