Well except for the Eller being your best player part.
.

.
...I also wonder if there is a reason the coach hates PK.

So I guess I agree 78%.

Not saying Eller is our best player all around but the way he was buzzing around last night led me to believe that if Therrien could really adapt he would put him out more. Usually that's the way it works, from my perspective anyways...

No, I agree with most of what you said.

This team, is as soft as it ever was.

I was not expecting a complete roster overhaul during the summer. Bergevin was stuck with some awful contracts. He said from the get go that his philosophy is to mainly rebuild through the draft.

People will need to be patient with this team and lower their expectations for the time being.

MJAT isn't impressive since the begining of the season. How can you possibly put the DD-Prust-Cole line on the PP and give them all the ice time in the world, keeping 67-27-73 on the bench as much as "possible" and then preach that everyone has to be accountable...?

Edit: Plus, no 76 on the 4 on 3 in OT is puzzeling.

Its a tough situation. If he really wants to work him into the lineup because he got into the season then I could vouch for his lack of ice time, to a certain extent. It's clear to me it's not Subban is in game shape and adapting to Therrien's system, at least he should be by now. When your team is in a precarious position and needs a win badly he should be out there defending. If in fact he can't stand Subban, then he should have had that talk with the GM before they signed him. Like I said before, its a tough situation, what do you do sign him and then put up with tension or trade him because the coach doesn't like him. Regardless, they need their best D out there when they are in situations like last night, in the last 5 minutes of a tight game.

Why do you keep voting him in as a player of the game then.

Something fishy is going on here, i sense a ruse

I think players and coach were pretty annoyed with the holdout. Not playing all year and then missing camp....especially with what he ended up settling for.

I think he needs to regain some trust in the room.

What does he expect from the guy, he has the same number of points as each of the "first line" players this year, he recieves half the ice time and has to play with Moen and Armstrong

Comparing him with the "first line guys" isn't exactly the best way to make a case for Eller as they pretty much all (frank)ing suck.

They are sucking, but yet to have been benched or have to play with talentless linemates.

Would it be better if i compared him to every other teams 4th line center?

So what do you expect from him?

Look, I think he played well over the last few games. I don't have much to complain about him since he was benched. Only thing is, he needs to get benched or end up on the 4th line in order to get his poop together... That doesn't scream "character" to me.

I love how Leafs fans think we have a small-town mentality in Ottawa. Can't wait to chase them with pitchforks and brooms next week.

He didn't start the season on the 4th line, did he?

Edit: Fact is, he's efficient on the 4th line as he faces the other team's 4th line. Lower competition might be the best way to use him and get some offense from him.

Might take that to keep them out of Scotiabank place after they've paid for the tickets and shown up in the wrong colours. Isn't this Black History Month?
