Although we can't say if there was intent or not (personnally, I don't think so) there should still be some sort of fine/penalty towards Cooke for being at best stupid out there...

the guy was careless...what kind of hockey move is it to lift your leg to try to get the opponent off-balance while heading into the board???

It's about containment, it happens a lot in most games.

He didn't mean to injure him, IMO.

I know you guys don't care about Fantasy hockey... but how long do you guys think Karlsson will be out? Should I replace him with Subban or Souray? (we are only allowed 2 swaps for the season)

Looks like bad on replay but real speed, there's no way that was intentional.

It required surgery and he's out indefinitely. Those are both fairly vague.
Yeah, I know, I think I'm just in denial over having to replace him.

I know it's about containement...but isn't that some sort of obstruction/holding...like sticking out your arm/stick and preventing a guy from cutting in? And isn't it the NHL who says that if you injure someone while doing something outside the rules of the game and it results in an injury there will be consequences?

It's not like the NHL to be inconsistent in the application of its rules and ignoring precedants...

Do you rememeber what injury Markov had before he had the 3 knee injuries and subsequent surgeries?

The Achilles severing is the begining of the end
