I've seen him make some nice passes. And I've seen him lost in his zone.
For a "D" man who doesnt hit. Is relatively small and hasnt added a point of offense.
I'm not to impressed.
I dont have a problem giving him several more games to get his game going.
He's not a shut down "D" man. He doenst seem to be an offensive threat. He's carried the puck a few times out of the zone but other then that.
I just cant figure what his game is.

NO ONE suggested Finley be put in the roster or Boulton. The comments were saying that this team lacks skill with size. We have no one in our top three lines over 6'2 or 215lbs. Therefore we have no offensive presence in front of the net. It was you who then brought up Finley and felt the real problem was backup goaltending ( ). We NEED a skilled big forward that can create a physical edge for the team. And we're not even scratching the surface on our defense. - keaner17
So basically... Besides Tavares, Moulson, Ullstrom, Cizikas, Martin and Hamonic... The Islanders need a new team. |

I am not a big Macdonald fan at all. He is at best a 6th defenseman. Dont if he would be in the NHL with any other team |

Since they are approx the same size. If they swapped jerseys. Would you notice?
Both their games are underwhelming at this point.

all joking aside...plug in the "shoo-in" prospects....nino, strome, reinhart, mayfield (?) (grabner should be there, not sure why he was left off)
leaving tons of quality prospects/current players available and it is pretty solid roster.
at that point its:
MM-JT-Nino/?
Grabner- Strome- Nino/?
Martin/? - ? - Ullstrom
? - Cizikas - Martin/?
Reinhart-?
Hamonic- Mayfield

AGREED...the one thing that keeps me somewhat optimistic about this team is envisioning a blue line with Mayfield, Reinhart, Hamonic and Donovan. At that point, kids like Hickey, de Haan (if he can make it) and even AMac, become useful for their limited array of skills. |

define "shoo in". That's putting alot of faith in prospects and a couple players that are playing but are far from consistent. One of them is being scratched tonight bcs he's been invisible for 5 games. It's easy to fill a line up with players that have never sniffed the NHL and say, "Wow, look how great we are". It's also completely unrealistic as well. |

I hear you buddy I just got remarried but I was typing from my parents house a for a little while. Great to have you back. AS you have seen nothing has changed here and the Islanders still suck - kasperrko
Thanks and Congratulations.
Yeah it's pretty sad but I think people had higher expectations from the beginning and thought they had something when they were 4-2-1. If they have any intention of being anything this year tonight is a must win. |

Of course I'd love to see the team make the playoffs and play well but we all can see where it's headed already. With that being said, I can live with missing the playoffs in a shortened year if it gets us Seth Jones. |

Seth Jones hits, scores, he's huge and doesn't seem to get injured too often. Snow will never pick him. |

I think Grabner has played a lot better this year then last year. He has been great onteh penalty kill and seems to be in the right spots at the right time. He would probably benefit in the Western Conference though as it is a lot faster game they play and not as defensive as the East |

Other than JT, I'd argue that Grabner has put max effort this year in every game. He's all over the place and is a big part of the PK. |
