Well they never traded away some top picks, Imean last year picks besides Reinhardt were a joke but whatever. Like I said have no faith in them - kasperrko
Like Who? Not saying I'm disagreeing but I'm not sure how anyone who was just drafted last year could be dismissed as a 'joke' yet. |

I see Strome, Nino, Nelson, and Kabanov all busted.
If Nielsen is still our 2nd line center by the time we move to Brooklyn I'm going to enjoy some nice 12 gauge buckshot for breakfast on opening day. - eichiefs9
I would love to see Kabanov play here for a little while. Kid got some skills |

Bailey looks great so far. He'll get better after few more game. I like that he shooting alot more.
You have to realize the difference between Bailey and KO.
Bailey was drafted in 2009 and brought NHL too early.
KO on other hand was drafted in 2004 and has no excuses.
Bailey still have huge upside, and im Afraid we have seen the most that KO has to offer at this point.
As for size, I would take a 6ft 190lbs skill player any day over just another size 6ft 4 220 avg player.
If isles going to win tonight its going to be b/c Nabby has strong game.
3-2 Isles win tonight. Tavares, KO, and Viznosky goals. - Spartiarti
Dude, do you even know what info your spewing.
In 291 NHL games, JB has scored 120 pts
In 271 NHL games, KO has scored 161 pts
I'm as disappointed by Okposo as anyone, but just be serious for a moment.

Despite how Islanders fared especially in February. We performed effectively during the draft for the past five years but failed with some picks we chose such as Okposo. I strongly feel that this is the future lineup we will look at in Brooklyn.
Moulson Tavares Strome
Bailey Nielsen Nino
Ullstrom Nelson Grabner
??? ???? ?????
Hamonic Reinhart
Macdonald Pedan
Strait Carkner - ISLES1119
This kind of fills in LetsGoIsles lineup pretty well
Playing Devils advocate and assume all these Prospects (& Bailey) reach their potential. This looks Pretty good.
Fill in the 4th line with Martin, Gallant and another player with some aggressive size and we might have something going here.
The "D" has size, toughness and skill. Although in 3 yrs I would hope Macdonald is replaced with someone better. Like Mayfield. |

PA Parenteau sold his soul to the devil for his rugged good looks and unparalleled hockey ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, PA punched the devil in the face and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month - keaner17
That PAP is such a scamp!

Let's start by getting the draft years right...KO was 2006 and Bailey 2008...

AGREED...the one thing that keeps me somewhat optimistic about this team is envisioning a blue line with Mayfield, Reinhart, Hamonic and Donovan. At that point, kids like Hickey, de Haan (if he can make it) and even AMac, become useful for their limited array of skills. - keaner17
Don't forget Seth Jones!!! |

KO was drafted in 2007. His first full season with the Isles was 2008-09...the same as Bailey's first season.
No one has suggested to add size just for the sake of size, they've suggested to add skill with size. - keaner17
I thought KO was drafted in 06? |

I actually like some of the picks last season. We tried to add size and toughness in the later rounds.
Guys like Leduc and Somerby are huge. They are projects but worth a shot IMO.
And what about Pelech?

Sucks this was essentially a lost year for him, being out for so long with that freak injury. I would imagine its gonna take another full year (or close to it) of him in the A before we can expect to see him in an Isles uni though. |

I think next year he will get his chance to play here. Anything on Petrov by the way? Is he coming back to the States?? |

I haven't seen a single thing on Petrov in a long time. I still have a little hope that he'll come, but at this point I'd see it as a long shot. |

Way too early to say they will or won't pan out. It was however odd with how many dmen they grabbed |

Correct...it was the 06-07 draft...Bailey was the 08-09. Both played their first full year together. Ironically I just posted all of this the other day and yet got it wrong this time around |

So weird..you ask that, and 10 min later I see this tweet/response from Pronman.
Corey Pronman @coreypronman
Sure he's a real prospect. Just get him over. RT @TheTwanMan: @coreypronman any hope left for Kirill Petrov to become anything worth value? |
