Pelech has been good since drafted... surpise player... - jimmc7722
I thought so but wasnt 100% sure. Thats good to hear.
If Reinhart and one other "D" from that draft becomes a regular on the team. Thats not bad. |

Where did the photo orginate? - keaner17
Steve Depot from Islanders Country and Islandersmania messageboard. It was a great one by him that really captured issues at-hand.

Sorry Dee.... your blog title made me start singing this to myself...and I just have to share:
Love, exciting and new
Come Aboard. We're expecting you.
Love, life's sweetest reward.
Let it flow, it floats back to you.
The Love Boat soon will be making another run
The Love Boat promises something for everyone
Set a course for adventure,
Your mind on a new romance.
Love won't hurt anymore
It's an open smile on a friendly shore.
Yes LOVE! It's LOVE!
Love Boat soon will be making another run
The Love Boat promises something for everyone
Set a course for adventure,
Your mind on a new romance.
Love won't hurt anymore
It's an open smile on a friendly shore.
It's LOVE! It's LOVE! It's LOVE!
It's the Love Boat-ah! It's the Love Boat-ah! |

Strange...the Isles always bring on the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald to me..:
Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours.
We've been suffering a lot of waves over the last 20 years. |

Found this article from back in July
http://www.islandersoptim...g-report-adam-pelech.html
Read on another site that he's compared to Bostons Adam McQuaid but he patterns his game after Chris Pronger. |

They're both crap. Plain and simple. Neither guy became what Snow and Smith thought they would. - Jethro09
Throw in comeau falling off the earth and it gives you an idea on why the isles aren't further along. Those were 3 quality players, all could of been top 6 or comeau being a perfect 3rd line guy that all don't produce poop anymore. It's like replacing three top 6 forwards with Keith aucoins. Unacceptable when two of them were picked in the top 10 |

I think we would have gotten the idea from three or four lines BD. Are you trying to torture us?

Like Who? Not saying I'm disagreeing but I'm not sure how anyone who was just drafted last year could be dismissed as a 'joke' yet. - keaner17

I actually like some of the picks last season. We tried to add size and toughness in the later rounds.
Guys like Leduc and Somerby are huge. They are projects but worth a shot IMO.
And what about Pelech?
- SCLI
The problem with "projects" is who is developing them. |

Hummm, interesting question since both are producing similar results right now.
I think I'd rather have AMac over Hickey at this point.
Amac has More experience and we've seen him play better than hes been playing lately. So the potential for a good game is there.
I'm not as down on Finley as most on this board.
If we're willing to give Hickey time to settle in, why not give Finley a chance.
I realize he's slow and a bit awkward but he punishes opposing forwards in the crease and has a physical presence.
I think he can be effective if slotted into the game under the right circumstances.
Against the oppositions 3rd or 4th lines.

Hey LGI. You think some of us are over the top with criticism?
Check out this little ditty I found on IPB.
I'm so sick of the management, I'm a diehard islander fan for life and I can't take watching this crap every night, wang snow and crappy are finishing off what mike milbury destroyed, can someone save this organization already we are the laughing stock of the NHL and no body gives two poops about us, but snow and wang things are getting better, f*** the both of you, I knew this season was going to suck after watching our ahl team beat our NHL team in the blue and white scrimmage, that obviously means our prospects are really good so Cappy stop going to other ahl games in the offseason and build on the great talent that we have, it's so pathetic how every ingle fan knows what to do in order of rebuilding this team and our dumbass management have their heads up their asses when it comes down to getting on track and being a dynasty once again
Soon as I read this. I thought of you. |
