be sure to wear your black rimmed glasses, grow a beard, roll up your levis and grab an ice cold pabst blue ribbon before you make your way to the show.

Forgive me, but I have to ask: what's with the Pabst reference?

Why are the crazy kids today drinking it? Is it strictly because it is cheap, or is there some sort of disaffected image to it?

I never really understood the toque when it isn't miserably cold look.

You can't tell me it's comfortable wearing a toque inside a coffee house.

That's why growing up in the 80s was so much easier. Rich kids dressed like rich kids.

Sure, at the end of the day, the poor kids got the hot chicks, but that was only in John Hughes movies.

What would we even give up for O'Reilly?

I've always thought the Avs would be a good fit for Bozak. He played at the University of Denver, it's basically his 2nd home.

Bozak,Gunnarsson,Percy and a 2nd?

Wouldn't affect our lineup except for some chemistry with Kessel. Sign O'Reilly, he slots in where Bozak would be. Gunnarsson barely fits into our lineup right now and a couple futures?

Ah, yes, "The Legend is Black."

Carling held the Carlsberg license. Black Label was a minor brand, which they paid absolutely no attention to, and nobody drank.

Then Carling lost the licensing rights for Carlsberg to Labatt's. What do you do?

Make Black Label cool.

Overnight, it went from a terrible beer that nobody wanted to drink, to an ultrahip counter-culture brew.

Gotta love beer marketing.

ESPN.COM: Craig Custance listed the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames and Phoenix Coyotes as his top trade destinations for Colorado Avalanche holdout center Ryan O’Reilly.

NEW YORK POST: Larry Brooks reports the NY Rangers have “checked in” on O’Reilly, but are “very unlikely” to deal for the holdout center. Brooks claims the Rangers have a policy of signing RFAs lacking salary arbitration rights to two-year “bridge deals” (O’Reilly is believed seeking a five-year deal). The Blueshirts also have Ryan McDonagh, Derek Stepan and Carl Hagelin to re-sign this summer, plus they also currently have around $5.22 million in available cap space.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Rangers, if they wanted, could move some salary via trade for O’Reilly, plus as Brooks noted, they still have an amnesty buyout remaining after this season. Still, given their policy regarding RFAs without arbitration rights and O’Reilly’s salary demands, it does appear as though the Rangers aren’t a fit. As for those destinations listed by Custance, TSN’s Darren Dreger claimed the Avs were talking to Eastern Conference teams regarding O’Reilly, so that would rule out – for now, anyway – the Flames and Coyotes.

So basically... Oreilly is already a leaf.

let the ridiculous debate begin again

They could resign Bozak. Be a solid 2nd/3rd line center on the depth chart behind Duchene and Stastny

I wouldn't say Percy is a low level. He was a 25th overall pick a couple years ago and is playing well in the OHL. I think he'll be an NHL player

But yeah, like I said, what would we really give up? O'Reilly is good, I'd be happy to have him but I'm not sold on him being a franchise type player

exactly, sure he's an upgrade over Bozak, but at what cost?
I think it would be too high, and quite honestly, I'd rather get a big body down the middle to go along with Kadri, Grabovksi.

I'd take that deal, for no other reason than we have a nice stock of players and prospects on defence, and nothing at centre.

I say keep Gardiner and try and get rid of Gunnersson for O'Reilly, I doubt they'd take Bozak as well though - he is a UFA at the end of the season is he not?
