Absolutely. I'm going to set out to prove it can be done by inviting hot fit women to train and attempt a pull up .....in my basement ....with the camera rolling.

Frankly, it seems a little bit like the "they should just let the players take steroids" debate.
It's not going to happen because, in addition to physical differences, the lawyers would eventually step in. Would there be a requirement that every team should have X amount of female players?
And, much like the steroid debate, what happens when a woman gets creamed and they have to take her off the ice on a stretcher? If that wouldn't pull all the Lionel Hutz types out of the woodwork, I don't know what would. - Leeman4Gilmour
No sane Lawyer would take that dead end.
IMO if the women is honest-to-god talented enough to be in the NHL, why not. That doesn't mean all of a sudden the league gets watered down with female athletes, as by our discussion, it would take a very very talented women to make the AHL... let alone the NHL.
I still think it could, hypothetically, happen. |

Well, they killed lingerie football
But they've replaced it with Lingerie Basketball.
I'm gonna be honest. I don't want to see the after effect blocking a slapshot with nothing but a bit of lingerie acting as padding. - Feeling Glucky?
I never understood the whole lingerie football thingy.
Don't get me wrong, I like women in lingerie.
But why would I want to watch them play the worst level of football on the planet? |

Really? You don't think that there would be some sort of movement to mandate participation?
What if some team just never invited any women to its training camps? Wouldn't that be discriminatory? |

Hypothetically, if Serena Williams parents were 'cakers from small town Canada and had thrown her and Venus into hockey .....hmmmm. I'd curl up and cry if she was skating hard at me ...she's a beast. |

Just reading the impeccable source: Wikipedia.
They played in the AAA Alberta League, and actually played two games during the Olympics.
And here's the best part: during the regular season, Hayley Wickenheiser put Dion Phaneuf's brother in a headlock! |

I'm not so sure. If the NHL came out and officially declared the league was open to women as well as men, and some GM publicly said, "We refuse to have any women on our roster because we don't believe they should be playing in the NHL," there wouldn't be any legal backlash?
Many discrimination lawsuits have been filed for less. |
