Who do you replace him with? What's the answer if Boucher is fired? Is it Jon Cooper, or do you go with someone with a track record like Pat Quinn?

I think they have to be looking and pull the trigger if this thing doesn't turn around fast. This team is way too talented to be losing 6 straight an with a short season, no time to drag your feet.

See, that's exactly how I see it. I get that Yzerman is patient and all that, but this team is too good on paper to be playing the way it is.

They might not pull the trigger this season just because it is a shortened grind, but if they don't make the playoffs, I honestly can't see Boucher being the coach come 2013-14
Though if it does stay as bad as it is now, Boucher's seat is gonna get awfully hot really quick.

Also, take it for what it's worth, but I have heard from people closer to the organization that boucher can be bit of an ass sometimes, and that some people around the team are fed up with him.

Is the last year of Boucher's contract? Most guys sign a 3 year deal to start their career. If it is and they don't make the playoffs, he is not coming back.

Despite the fact that we're playing like monkey vomit, Hedman and Salo are rockin it. Hedman has 4g, 4a with a plus 11 ratings, while Salo has 1g, 6a and also has a plus 11. They're doing something right. Lee has been horrible, Carle meh, Aulie young and Brewer has had a few brain farts, but decent overall.

For example, we know the players are old and slow, we don't blame the coach, even last year, Brent Sutter did an amazing job getting that band of misfits into 9th.

Boucher was what, 103 the first year, then 84 and out of the playoffs, now this?

For those asking, Boucher is on a 4 year contract, so one more after this, which many extend his stay just to save some loot.
