if O'Reilly took the money you guys are talking about then he would stay in Colorado. That why they want to move him.
and yes. Isles did try to Sign PA but to only 2-3 deal for same money, PA wanted a 4 year deal. who do you think will be better first line forward 3 years from now. PA or Nino? if you have correct answer then just stop whining about now having PA anymore.
Boyes has been great signing at 1/4 of the price.
Same complainer in there were same guys thinking snow made huge mistake taken tavares and that we should have taken Duchene. that debate is over now.

It was for less money & less years
we HOPE it will be Nino, but im tired of living off of hopes & dreams, we had a player that played awesome with JT... plus if Nino becomes that player next year or the year after.. PAP could slide down a line or how about TRADE HIM.

It was a bad move on Snow's part, one of his worst. Anyone who says otherwise is being a homer. To say this team is better off with out someone who put up 67 points last year is stupid. Yeah Boyes has been decent lately(still not sold on him honestly)but so what? Fine then, we could've had Boyes and PA instead of trading for phantom contracts. Living on the "maybes" of prospects usually doesn't pan out, every Islander fan should be aware of this by now. To have a legit top six fwd and let him walk away for nothing is ludicrous. |

Newsday reporting they are in contract talks - Isles316
Isles and Parenteau were in talks too... I'll reserve judgement until a deal is reached. |

to this team he is though. He's the best defenseman we've had since oh I don't know, Kenny Johnson....?? And for #1 defender, that's a good rate. |

If this is true I'm going to be sick. Use some of the money to get O'Reilly. |

Not that I would want Streit to those kind of numbers, but we have plenty of money, that's not the issue. |

Just because he's a number one on our team doesn't mean he's worth 5 million per yr. That's an over payment especially the way he's been playing. |

Yeah but if they are only paying to the floor that money could be better spent else where |

It would take a miracle for Wang to agree to pay for O'Reilly let alone Streit. Isles easily have the Cap room for both the problem is getting Wang to spend. |

It was an offer similar to Moulson and Grabners offer. Sorry but I don't see how PA deserved more money than Moulson. I definitely think it was a severe screw up to not have traded him when PA's agent broke off contract discussions, though word at the time was there was little to no interest in trading for him. Maybe we were asking too much? That said, they never allowed the Isles to match Colorado's offer. The moment Joe Sakic called PA to tell him how big of a piece he could be in Colorado, he left with stars in his eyes. I'm not happy we lost PA but I don't see him as a 4 year $16 million player and certainly not a 67-70 point per season player. PA was on his way to being a career AHLer until the Isles plucked him and gave him a shot to play with a budding elite talent. Rather than stay at a hometown discount, he bolted for the big payday. Can't blame PA from a financial standpoint, but I'd boo him in a second when he visits. |

Every day we get closer to 2015 makes it more likely we see some loosening of the purse strings...hopefully. |
