maybe it's homer's time to go. that'll shake up their asses...if the effort was nil, hire jim nill... |

Maybe I overrate +/-, but only GUS and Simmons Plus. Gus was a plus 12 in 30 games last year. He needs to stay up. I would still hold, but I'd seriously accumulate picks for some of these extra wingers. I also just don't see Briere back with G/Couts/Schenn/Laughton. Homer is going to need that $6.5 million. No 2 ways around it. |

That a boy Gus. I didn't expect him to play all that great b/c he needs to get his legs under him. Hes been injured and the speed is much faster at the NHL level. |

Ok...So lets say they made Timmo the captain that still doesn't change their biggest issue which is a lack of talent.
Would be nice if Talbot showed a fraction of what he was last year.
Would be nice if Couturier does anything to warrant the blind love people have for him.. I think he is going to be a great player but I would not be opposed to moving him for a significant upgrade in D or offense.
Would be nice if Giroux did anything .

I hope the price of his next contract comes down a bit now. |

He looked really bad, ok maybe rusty, carrying the puck. Especially causing a lot of confusing offsides through out the game and mostly on the PP. |

Montreal played solid tonight. They also gave the Flyers plenty of opportunities but our offense stinks right now. |

I'm gonna go ahead and blame last nights loss on rust from too much rest. And tonight's on not enough rest. I already have Monday's planned out too. A weekday day game, how can we expect them to win that? |

I agree, it wouldn't change the skill level of the team. It would of taken some of the spotlight off of him though.
Talbot had an unreal season, expecting half of what he did last year is too high of expectations.
Would I trade Couturier for an upgrade in ANY position, you bet. The kid's work ethic in EVERy game alone makes me want to keep him.
Giroux and the rest of the team, one word....predictable. Flyers look like they are playing basketball out there every game, "Hey we're going low post now". Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. I see lack of hockey sense as a team more then lack of talent. |

Lavi system isn't working/ - Winning
What system would work with that level of effort behind it? With no fire, energy or urgency to the play on the ice. Budaj doesn't even have to shower after the game.

Timmo will go receive his after-game therapy soon. Why he would want another contract is beyond me.
