Bryz is hands down our best player this year. So lets buy him out cause he's ahead of everyone else. And then, even better, let's trade Coots away for a goalie.

None of that is accurate. I've said repeatedly, that I would be willing to trade Couturier for the right player. I don't view Subban as the right player. Some might, I don't. I would trade B Schenn for Subban though.
I see no logical reason to buyout Bryzgalov, then trade valuable assets for a young Goalie, that you have no idea how he is going to turn out. That to be blunt, is just plain dumb.
I would not be opposed to buying out Briere if the rest of this Season shows that he is declining. But that only makes sense if you use the money to upgrade the team. And as we saw this past off season. Dipping into the Free Agent market is not a guarantee.
I have also said repeatedly that I don't believe that this team as currently constituted, will win a Cup. It needs some pieces. It needs at the very least a top defenseman. But the key is to make the right moves. Not just any moves. You're just playing Fantasy Hockey.
There is no reason whatsoever that Bryzgalov can't continue to play at a high level for 5 years or longer.
Now if you propose the Flyers make a smart deal for a younger Goalie to groom for the future, behind Bryzgalov. I'm all for that. But I'm not dealing any of the Flyers top assets to do that. And certainly not Couturier. That would also be just plain dumb.
And I'm definitely not trading a player like Matt Read for a future UFA that might walk at the end of the year. And you throw around the Cap word, without giving any consideration to the tagging space issue.
And have you looked at the Flyers drafting history when drafting in the 20's in the first round? Start with Claude Giroux, Simon Gagne, and Mike Richards
