....going full Burkie? - potvin05
making moves for the sake of making moves......okay poor analogy, I admit but, in the grand scheme of things, recent (20 years) Isles history dictates starting over. The Donger should've left well enough alone and let Smith, LaFontaine, etal righten this ship instead of his "rule by commitee" crapola |

No way All kidding aside while Burke would not be my first pick I doubt he would do the same things he did in Toronto. Who knows what went on with ownership up in Toronto? |

Because of MM Wang did not trust one person to make the calls. The damage MM has done is unreal. |

My frustration has turned to sadness. How can we get mad when DP is allowed to play? How can we fairly judge this team.? They've thrown away 6 points in a season they can't afford to throw away 1 |

we all know management is to blame, but these players ya think would at least give some kind of effort instead of just mailing it in all the time and looking so (frank)ing helpless. Like do something, throw a dirty hit, (frank)ing bite someone, do something! This team has no emotion, nothing. Everytime I look at Capuano I think he has aids and is just losing weight at a rapid pace. Guy makes me sick. His line combos are (frank)ing mind boggeling to say the least.... Just (frank) me.
My frustration is growing into rage. |

Remember going to the carnival as a kid and they'd give you a stick and rubber puck and there would be slots on a cardboard goalie for you to put the puck through and you'd win a goldfish or a stuffed animal or something?
That's what it's like for an NHLer to score against DP. I mean, poop, 2 guys scored their first NHL goals in the SAME GAME. - potvin05
remember Jeff Tambellini and Andy Hilbert....
don't ya just miss those guys??? |

The players are completely defeated the minute RDP is named the starter for a game. They have no confidence in him. How could they? He's f**king terrible. The players, who know they are flawed as a group to begin with, know they need to play perfectly to have any shot of winning with RDP in net. The last two goals last night were on RDP. He has to stop the point shots, screen or no screen. He has to be able to catch a puck with his glove. This is easy stuff for an NHL goaltender.
Until Snow and Wang do the right thing and bury RDP in Bridgeport, they are sending a terrible message to the fans, but more importantly to guys like JT and Hamonic, that they don't prioritize winning. And people wonder why veteran coaches and players want no part of going to LI... |

In all fairness to Cappy, and I'm one of his biggest detractors, its bulls**t that he is expected to win when hes force fed RDP and he has no choice but to play him. I'm starting to feel bad for him. Here's a guy who is clearly in over his head, not NHL grade, but to make things worse he is not even given a chance to win with the roster. The fact Is that he has to play RDP whether he likes it or not, just for the sake of resting Nabby once in a while. |

They're not capable of playing better. They are a flawed team. A-Mac and KO are useless. I agree the should skate their collective a**es off regardless of who's in net, but management should meet them half way and rid this roster of arguably the worst goaltender playing in the NHL right now. It's not fair for management to tell these guys to go out and play hard while management does nothing to help them, even when the move is as simple as placing RDP on waivers and down to Bridgeport and bringing up Poulin or Nilsson to help them win. |

All I can do is laugh at this point. The salary and the friendship are obviously the only 2 reasons he's on this team.
He can't go post-to-post. He can't get off the ice once he's down. He can't come out of the net and play the puck. His body language EVERY shot is terrible, always looking over his shoulder. His save % is the worst in the league over the past 3 or 4 years. He can't go a game without allowing at least one poopty goal, and I'm being kind.
A normal NHL team doesn't allow a guy like this to play. Someone said it before, even the (frank)ing Rangers sent Redden to Hartford. Let him rot in the minors. Frankly, I don't think he's starting material at Bridgeport, either. - potvin05

Butch was setting that one up half way through the third period when he mentioned they were playing the Canadiens Thursday with Price, another hot goalie. |

I don't know how Snow and Wang can allow this RDP experiment to continue. If they are serious about winning, they need to send RDP through waivers and down to Bridgeport and let him rot down there backing up Nilsson while Poulin comes up to split time with Nabby and give this te NHL quality goaltending night in and night out. Enough is enough. - Jethro09

flash forward to 2015....or 16? the new owner(s) hire Burke as GM and he goes all Milbury thereby setting us back another 2-3 years - 1since40
Whatever. Better than being not competitive in any fashion. These prospects are doing us a whole lot of good right now and let me remind you these guys are PROSPECTS, nine out of ten of them will not pan out. |

They have been sending a terrible message to the fans, the rest of the NHL, potential FA's, etc for years now. Not just with RDP. Circus |
