the 2nd line will be made up of all centers....
why is grabner not on the top 2 lines??? - LetsGoIsles
Seriously though, I've been wondering that since he was bumped down for no reason. Makes no sense to me. Last place Grabner belongs is in a checking role... |

Also I think Grabner would fit well on teh power play. They hardly use him there but will roll KO. CApuano does not know how to use his players. It was evident last year when he buried Nino on the fourth line |

right..especially with reasoner...same thing with neilson, which everyone says is his ideal position, therefore they should ship him out, and have cizikas play the 3rd line center for YEARS to come.... |

I don't think the price tag issue comes into play when it comes to coaches. NHL coaches don't make enough for that to be a decisive factor. For example, Mike Babcock is one of the highest paid coaches in the NHL and only makes about $1.8 million a year. Most coaches salaries range between $600K to $1.5 million. Point being, if you're paying close to $50 million in team salary, I doubt saving $500k on your coach comes into too much consideration regardless of the team. If anyting, that would be the one place worth splurging to get the most out of your cheap crappy team....
I think the lack of a vetern coach plays more into the very reason Nolan and Lavi we're sent packing. Vetern coaches tend to be headstrong and want their ideas at least considered. In the Isles case, I don't think Wang wants input from that level. They'd rather bring up a lapdog from the minors who will play nice and do what he's told. The moment Gordon clashed with a few players and made a couple of comments about the roster, he was gone. - keaner17
Remember, this is the Isles you're talking about. A team that told a little girl she couldn't sing the anthem unless she guaranteed them 25 ticket sales and a team that charges the media for water. |

word is the Isles have been shopping Reasoner for a trade
Somehow the old bag of pucks cliche would even seem generous here. That said, sounds like he could be heading for waivers. |

Grabs has hands of stone. He can't play PP. Besides, for the most part, the PP has been one of very few bright spots with this team. |

I guess my point is that Wang could probably remain just as cheap but get a better return with a vetern coach at very little additional cost. This is why I don't think the motivation for bringing Cappy in and subsequently keeping him are about cash. I think it's about having a good servant. |

Is it really a sold out "home crowd" if at least half the people attending were Flyers fans? Just sayin'. - Rliable
There were 1000 flyers fans there. Isles fans were turned away at the ticket booth yesterday. |

How much off of Josh Bailey's $1.05M salary did Wang save by suspending him? Get the feeling every penny counts around here these days... - UIF
That suspension was mandatory by the CBA. Florida suspended someone too. |

No idea how lucky they were. Such a shame. Fans showed up after two big wins and the posters on this board might as well could of suited up. We would be more entertaining at least |

They should throw them at Wang and chant Snow must go. Enough of this. The thing is the islanders would never appease the fans, they don't on purpose. Snow(and LetsGoIsles of course) is smarter than everyone else. |
