It's just under 70%. Wang said it to Francesca last he was on. 70% of the season ticket base I should say more accurately - Isles316
interesting...did he say how many season ticket holders there are? |

I'm still not sure how the financial fogs lift when they get to Brooklyn. Suozzi already got him a better deal at the coliseum where he now makes money from the concessions and parking and other events. I really think he is selling the team.
It only makes smart sense about Brooklyn if the team gets there with momentum. Right now, the team has been stuck in mud with almost zero improvement in 6 seasons. Also, 70% of the fan base is in Nassau and Suffolk. It's going to hurt attendance. - Isles316
While Wang got a 'nearly full share' of concessions on the renegotiated lease, the Isles are still forced to pay SMG a percentage of their net operating income. In addtion, SMG receives 40% of all Islanders advertising income, and roughly 15% of all gate income (this is more than any NHL team in the league). Presumably, the combination of a more successful franchise, better venue, better lease deal and marketing income should change the fortunes. It's also why I say it won't be in Wang's interest to remain a tight-wad or sell at this stage. |

We will see. Both arguments from you and I make sense. I think it's impossible to know for sure what's going to happen. For me, I just haven't seen any evidence that tells me Wang will all of a sudden start running this team like a pro sports team should be run no matter what the circumstances. If he decided to invest 6-$10 mill more on personel/coaching/staff and the isles made the playoffs two of the next 3 years, he would make it back. Playoffs bring in lots of revenue |

that was very interesting comment on Jon Persson. Its funny b/c i was on the soundtigers site and first thing i noticed is how Persson is catching up to Nino in goals and had 10 games less played then him.
The Swedes - Ullstrom, Persson and Sundstrom are the guys with the + ratings.
Still understand how cappy thinks ullstrom still has alot to learn when he has outplayed KO, Aucoin, Boyes.
Another thing is I dont think Isles give MATT MARTIN enough credit. He is way more gifted of a offensive player than this staff thinks.
You want to shuffle the lines. Put Martin or Ullstrom in that top RW spot for few games. |

Has anyone else here lost interest in what AUCOIN brings to this team.
After amzing start he is completely invisible. his Winning % in faceoff has fallen 55%. Bailey and Ullstrom, have higher % even but have take far less.
I think it would be great if Bailey can Establish himself as the #2 Center again. |

6-2 Sens. DP gives up 4 horrific goals and stares at his D-men after each one like its their fault. Cappy says they played hard and that will be that. Nothing changes |

Reasoner being waived will keep him up for a bit.
But yea... he brings nothing to the table right now.

Persson has not played 10 fewer games than Nino. In fact he's played in one additional game. That said, Persson can finish very well around the net, and is decent along the boards, but he's got quite a bit of work to do on his skating. I don't know how effective he'd be in the NHL until he improves there. Nino is a much better all-around player even at this stage. I think you guys will be surprised at Nino's development next time you see him in the NHL, whenever that is. Not a finished product, but he's not the same player as last season either.
Nino and Nelson still look like the best forwards out there, although with the lineup they've been icing, it's been a bit tougher watching the games lately. Halmo on the first line, Watkins centering the second line...top six will look better once Sundstrom's healthy again. |

My bad. Your right, It was nelson that was catching up to Nino in production and it was sundstrom that has 10 less games and starting to do better.
Persson just been hotter as of late. feels like Nino been stuck around 20 goals for while and every time i read a story nino was either the extra goal in blowout or the empty netter. |

Is Nino still whining?
Acting like a baby and sulking affects your game!!!
