Just chiming in now.. apparently this game is following the same format as playoff games in Pitt.. dig a big hole early and dig out of out of it quickly.. pull away for the win!

Flyers are the pens kryptonite... The more emotional the game gets the more it's going to favor the flyers

That hit on Englland! Flyers play with a nice snarl and edge but play clean. This always brings out the dirty in Pittsburgh.

Do I prefer watching a tight checking defensive game over this? No I don't. From an entertainment perspective it was a great period of Hockey. But Flyers are playing with fire. Pens defense is vulnerable to the forecheck. However once you beat the Flyers forecheck, it is clear sailing all the way to the Flyers net. Nobody is picking up the late guys coming. If it wasn't for Bryzgalov and some good defensive plays such as by Gervais. Pens could easily have had 5 goals that period.
