Forgot about that I find it funny how no one talks about multiple punches to the head, but reaching for the puck and accidently getting the back of someones head results in a hearing.

They played together a shift or two last night. Kes was at center but there was nothing rave about. Keslers best success over the years are guys that hustle and bang. Burrows Hansen

Let Schroeder play with two speedy wingers. If Booth doesn't bang then he won't be around .

Schroeder on Kesler's wing is not Kesler on Schroeder's wing. We got to see (he who shall not be named) on Kesler's wing last season too... Not what I want to see.

I know its complete nonesense. But what more would you expect from the worst runned league on the planet.

Seems about right....

I hope Booth Raymond JS work out as a 3 rd line . I can see secondary scoring from then.

OK MG trade Schneider and Higgins for E Kane

- VANTEL

I agree, I like Booth with Schroeder a lot and Raymond plays great with JS as well. E Kane is a pipedream that will never happen. I think the Jets would want Jensen as part of the deal as well for some future scoring the wing plus they would have to have a deal lined up for Pavalec to go elsewhere which makes it even more unlikely.

Why does Hansen get a game when Sttoguchi is fined 8000 for crosschecking a guy across his face with a stick?

you got lucky last night after sucker punching Hossa....technically, I think Luongo played a better game than Schneider against the hawks, but you are most likely trading him before the deadline...which is why it wont matter much against the hawks, because the next time we play you is after the deadline

You do know we went to the shootout twice this year. 1 win each

I'd like to see what the current lines can do. You have to admit that Raymond-Schroeder-Booth is an intriguing line. Raymond's been the Canucks winger outside of Daniel so I wouldn't call him the sloppy seconds at all. Plus Booth is a 20 goal scorer. Raymond and Booth IMO have more offensive ability than Higgins and Hansen, I think Schroeder's in pretty good position with those 2 on his wings.
- Nucker101

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Raymond Schroeder Kesler
Booth Lapierre Kassian
Higgins Blair Jones Hansen

Get Jones short term for the 4th line C... Switch Kassian & Hansen as needed... Lapierre played 3rd line C perfectly during our Cup run 'til Malhotra came back and ruined it... Volpatti and Weise in the press box as depth.

Because that guy isn't a star on a big market team with a concussion history. That's how this league runs. Wouldn't surprise me if they gave Hansen a game or two at all, but he doesn't deserve more than a fine IMO.

The top 2 lines look good, but I'm not sold on Lapierre as a third line center since he's not much of an offensive player at all and secondary scoring always kills us in the playoffs. Acquire a guy like Slater from the Jets and you have me sold.

IF Jensen is slotted to be our 2 nd line LHF and I have a chance to get E kane instead , I would do it.

That's fair, I can see why you find it hard to cheer for guys lime Kesler and Burrows with their history. Those who follow this team closely will tell you that Burrows and Lapierre have toned it down big time since last year, but they still have a reputation. A lot of Canucks fans hate it when Kesler is flopping on the ice. As for the fans, every fan base has their clowns(especially online when you're hiding behind a computer screen). You can't judge an entire fan base because of a few trolls on HockeyBuzz, the sample size is just way too small to use this site so say that any fan base is annoying or classy. People will point to the riots, but I'd honestly bet anyone that very few of the rioters were actual Canucks fans.
- Nucker101

Agreed -- certainly my view of Canuck fans overall is set by what I see here and this can be a pretty arrogant bunch. I was surprised the NHL even held the play-offs for the 2011 Cup after hearing for months how the Canucks had it all locked up.

I am going to say something dumber than usual. I am not sure we need Kesler in a top 6 role .

I think he is better slotted as a shut down guy and not relied on to be a point getter.

He has top 6 talent for sure ,but use him in his Selke role against other teams top lines and on the PP . Let him get his 20 goals and build a scoring line out of JS Booth and Raymond.
