Yeah, he has better chemistry with Kesler than Booth and Raymond for sure. Kassian, Hansen and maybe Higgins are the only wingers who have shown flashes of paying well with him.

Definitely not trading, just need a better 3LC if you're moving Kesler to second line wing. Lapierre is a great 4th line center, but iffy as 3rd liner IMO. I've always liked him during the playoffs as well.

I'd want someone like Vermette or a like player who can anchor an offensively capable shutdown line in the playoffs if that's what's needed. $3.75 for Vermette might be a tad much, but if Tanev impresses in his top 4 minutes, I don't think we'll be taking both Ballard & Garrison into the post season. Poor Ballard...

Seems to me like Schneider would get you a much better return, and if Lu craps the bed next year...compliance buy out and go with Lack. That's what I would do, not that you care what Hawk fan thinks.
